Every new version that hits is really just another "chapter" in the myth that is Batman. I think we just need to remember that when approaching this subject. I agree with that. You can't compare them. Besides, 'The Batman' isn't even out yet. And if they kept going with the Timm stlye, it would have seemed they were trying too hard to keep that style going. So it needs to be refreshed.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Not a fair poll! Timm rocked, and yeah, he's a household name compared to Matsuda. But Jeff Matsuda's new art is terrific. He's definitely on the road to becoming a household name and as big an icon in the Batman universe as Timm. Give it time... [/shadow]

I don't know much about the background work, but I do know Bruce Timm thanks to Batman: The Animated Series. He's an awesome artist. The Batman art is cool also, but Jeff Matsuda didn't impress me with Bane.

I can't really decide yet, since 'The batman' isn't out yet. So I can't judge the animation. But both versions are good, by the look of the pics.
