[shadow=green,left,300]We've been getting conflicting reports, but the latest is that kidsWB has decided to air a re-run already on that date now, instead of 'the big chill' w/ Mr Freeze.
Call of the Cobblepot may be airing instead....but hey, they do need to stretch out the 13 eps til NEXT fall after all lol. I can wait!
and heck, you can always get your fix next saturday after the cat and the bat by signing up for our chat with Jeff Matsuda![/shadow]

Wait wait wait, that must be a mistake. Season two starts in late Spring/Early Summer. That's how usually seasons go. Maybe different with toons. But if it IS next fall. I will EXPLODE......

[shadow=green,left,300]Its like this ROBO....they only have 13 count 'em 13 episodes for season one. Now, they have to make those last til NEXT season, which will be August/Sept. 2005!!
Due to this terrible reality, they're going to have to spread the episodes out a bit between winter/spring.

Actually, as for spreading them out, I think people would be just as happy to see them in one clump, without re-runs. We'd be on episode 5 now, and then 8 more to go, which would bring us until like early/mid December. Even if the just added a couple re-runs, but not like what they're doing! We could wait out the spring, and people are busy in teh summer anyways, and goes by quick. Before you know it, late summer/early fall, boom, season 2. Errrr....sometimes things happen like this...oh well...

I think it blows. Four episodes is hardly going to maintain the attention of their "core" audience, i.e. children. I understand the concept and perhaps even a need to stretch it out but at least give it a couple more before starting w/ re-runs. I havnt even gotten comfortable / familiar with it yet. I can just see the kids turning the channel and forgetting all about it when new eps come around. Hell, that would be easy for ME to do! Now re-runs and still no "batwave" toys?.

I too would rather see a huge clump of new episodes, than seeing four new ones, then four re-runs, show the new ones first and then re-run them after...

Since I didn't tape them, having them rerun will be good for me! I'll get a chance to watch them again and possibly catch things that I missed the first time thru.
What will be interesting is if The Batman can keep it's #1 spot even though they will be reruns! I can't wait to see the ratings next week! ;D

This does suck. Big time. Well, I just hope this doesn't hurt the series.

that SUCKS!!!!! :(13? ONLY 13? and we'll have to wait till next august?! that is sickening. now, if you excuse me, I must go puke. BTW, why is it that they're making next season so late? and why the only 13 eps?

I watched the rerun. No, that's not even true, I had the rerun on in the background while I worked on my computer. There must be a better way to stretch the 13 episodes out a bit, while still giving us something new, especially so early in the series. I'll be curious to know what sort of ratings they get the next few weeks. Whose brilliant idea was it to only make 13 episodes?

[shadow=green,left,300]Yes, but what you may not realize is that what funds tv programs is advertising..and if they have only re-runs to show during spring sweeps, thats just not going to set their advertising rates very high! Its all network politics..nothing to do with what the public wants on that level...welcome to corporate america. the next TWO weeks will be re-runs as well...Bat in the belfry, and then I believe Traction again![/shadow]

[shadow=purple,left,300]I'd usually be mad about this, but come on. Yeah, it does suck that we are going to be loaded with reruns, but you have to think about network politics and all that fun stuff, like Matt said. Also, this is the first season of the new 'toon, and the first season of pretty much any show, live action or animated, is cut short. Who knows? Season 2 might be 15-20 episodes long, depending how successful everything is.
Question: "The Big Chill" will be airing on October 30 then? [/shadow]
