Well, I can't say that he's one of the popular ones, but then again...this show has done a great job with the not-so-well-known villains (i.e. Cluemaster, Firefly). We'll have to see how this pans out, but I'm looking forward to seeing the new take on the character.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I was actually hoping that The Batman would approach Maxie Zeus in the near future. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing their take on this one![/shadow]

[shadow=green,left,300]Wow... I must tell you wow. I know of Maxie Zeus. He's my favorite minor villain (out of Killer Croc, Spellbinder, Clock King, Dr. Hugo Strange, and Firefly [from BTAS and the Batman]. He's mainly a favorite of mine because I excelled in Greek Mythology). I can't wait to see his character. One question for Mr. Lamarr: please tell me that Maxie Zeus is in more then just one episode and that he's an actually villain and not a back-up plan in case they run out of ideas for shows like he was in BTAS... Congrats, Phil![/shadow]

i hope they bring the maddhater, Tally man and nocturna too [shadow=green,left,300]Now, I think that bringing in the Mad Hatter would be great. However, I believe that since this series is meant to be more "kid-friendly" then Batman:TAS was, I doubt that they would bring in the assassin, the Tally-Man. Isn't he the assassin who carves tally marks into his skin after he kills each victim, or is that Mr. Zsasz? I always get the two confused, because Tally-Man's name actually fits with the prosepect of doing that. BTW, SINCE WHEN IS THERE A MOVIE COMING OUT?! All I've ever heard of has been Batman Begins.[/shadow]

but whos tally man, i know for a fact zsasz has the tallys on him but in all my encyclopedias of bats i have never heard of him [shadow=purple,left,300]Scarecrow/Master of Fear, the Tally-Man is a very small Batman villain that is hardly in any of the shows (actually I don't think there ever was a show for the Tally-Man) He wears like a trench coat type thing and is one of Batman's most deadly assassin villains.[/shadow]

yeah Zsasz is the guy who carves the notches of his body count into his skin. [shadow=orange,left,300]Then why the hell do they call Tally-Man the Tally-Man? COME ON, BATSTAFF! Think before you name people![/shadow]

[shadow=orange,left,300]Then why the hell do they call Tally-Man the Tally-Man? COME ON, BATSTAFF! Think before you name people![/shadow] [shadow=purple,left,300]I believe a "tally-man" used to be a debt or tax collector in the 19th century. In the comics, the Tally-Man dressed like a tax collector.
However, I doubt he's named after the banana tally man made famous by that calypso song...[/shadow]

[shadow=green,left,300]That would make sense, J-Man. Thanks for clearing that up. But he's still a psycho assassin. What would that have to do with a TallyMan?
... Come Mr. Tally Mon, Tally me bananas... With six foot, seven foot HUTCH!
Gotta love Harry Belufonte[/shadow]

Back on point:
Maxie Zeus.
Eh.
But then, I'm old school. I could get by very well in a universe that consisted only of Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Two-Face and, on occasion, the Riddler, Freeze, Ra's, Scarecrow, Ivy, Deadshot, Hugo Strange and Rupert Thorne. I could pretty much do without the rest. Even dear Harl, I'm afraid (tho I loved the Harley/Ivy miniseries. Great satire).

i think the best character is the batman i know thats pretty original but seriously the design of him and the story of how he became is pretty cool. in particular the design of "the" batman is very very cool! it makes him appear quite real in that story! as opposed to a comic book caharcter! in all a good seris to pre date the upcoming film!

Sounds great, thanks for the news Matt! I thought he was a great character in the old Batman animated cartoons and comics, so this is cool news to me.

[glow=green,2,300][shadow=green,left,300]Sorry this is so late, guys, but I figured out what Maxie Zeus looks like. I apologize that I am unable to provide a picture, but his face looks reletivly the same, and his costume looks slightly different, sort of like a white full body toga with purple hems and gold trimming. I hope this is useful! Again, these are merely my resources, which can be bulls-eye acurate sometimes, and sometimes it is the exact opposite of the real McCoy. Again, sorry I couldn't provide a picture, but we didn't have one and we wouldn't be able to use it even if we DID have one.[/shadow][/glow]
