Grundy is pretty cool. Better than I wouldve expected!Croc is good but I would prefer no vest... and maybe even more drastic alterations?. But I like him. Ragdoll is great! not familiar with the character but I would be happy if this was Scarecrow's look! Hugo Strange looks more like a generic "gangster" but he really doesn't need to be too elaborate or fancy anyway. Spell binder on the other hand I dont care for at all personally.

! Hugo Strange looks more like a generic "gangster" but he really doesn't need to be too elaborate or fancy anyway. . That is exactly why I will get a figure of Strange for that look its better than the skinny old guy look IMO

[glow=blue,2,300]I agree with you Peev, Solomon is the best because not only does ne have a new redesign as all the villians do, but his redesign makes more sense since I never knew why he was big and huge before, here he looks like a more realitic size, I sooooooooooo hope we get a figure.[/glow]

[shadow=blue,left,300]This show never ceases to amaze me. One thing I love about Batman in general is the BROAD artist interpretations. I love to see different takes and angles on characters from Batman. These new The Batman designs are creepy to me. In fact they all have been, which is so cool. Each angle creates a mood. For example: Poison Ivy in BTAS she is like the pin-up vamp of the 40's 50's. In Long Halloween she's like a creepy cold ghostlike witch. And in The Batman she'll be totally different. So depending on what kind of story I'm looking for, I'll play a BTAS DVD, read TLH, watch The Batman etc etc. That's the magic of Gotham City.[/shadow]

These character designs just keep getting better and better. Very left-field choice for Hugo Strange, but it does work. Similarly a total revamp for Grundy too.

YES! WOOOOP! I must say, I'm definetely excited about Killer Croc, I love it, and Ragdoll, I'm also looking foward to. I love Ragdoll's slender/patched limpy design, and since he's acrobatic/gymnastic and such, fight scenes should be interesting. Hugo, another plus, although I must say I'm not looking foward to Grundy that much, and Spellbinder I'm willing to look into...but this is just awesome news!

this show has a lot to live up to in the shadow of BTAS - I'm glad they are trying new things and bringing in fresh villians and fresh takes. I hope the stories start having more emotional punch - I am really looking forward to the Clayface story - although I am a bit sorry I let myself hear too much 'spoiler' info on it

[glow=red,2,300]After seeing grundy i think i need a change of pants...that has got to be the best grundy design by far. Ragdoll looks cool but i think his story will be even more interesting than his looks. The others are all right by me and i have no complaints. Well just one...i need a change of pants.[/glow]

Solomon Grundy looks really creepy Spellbinder looks also cool but his design don't fit into the Batman universe I think. Killer Croc looks also cool but the jacket gives him a funny touch I don't like the Hugo Strange design, I think its boring Ragdoll could be easily Scarecrow, I think with Batman Begins and so it will be confusing for not fans... [glow=green,2,300]This is so cool... I love it all, but it has its "kinks", if you will. I agree with Gambit, Spellbinder doesn't fit with the Batman series... these villains are pretty cool, but I think that Killer Croc is a random take-off on the Spider-Man's Lizard Man villain. I like Hugo Strange, it's nice to see that there is atleast one villain who looks human in this new season (besides Riddler). I agree that Ragdoll could easily be the Scarecrow as far as looks go, but I also think that his contortion abilities combined with his name are pretty interesting (as long as he doesn't do the absolute impossible like turning into a perfectly shaped ball out bouncing out of a window, because that'd be stupid.). Grundy (never heard of him) sort of ruins the whole thing, because this show of The Batman is about a physically healthily average kind of guy who uses cool gadgets to bring down super-villains who are either insane (ex: Joker, Scarecrow), physically and mentally deformed (ex: Two Face, Joker), super-powered because of chemical or chronogenic accedients (ex: Posion Ivy, Mr. Freeze), ingenious (ex: Riddler) or simply criminal masterminds (ex: Catwoman, Penguin). It's not the Ghostbusters who bring down the supernatural!! This last villain, "Grundy", sort of ruins the series for me because he is the undead, come back for revenge. He has no supervillain idenity because he is known everywhere he goes as a "fearful zombie", so now Batman must take down something that ruins the topic that is... Batman. but that's just my opinion... All in all I believe it'll be an awesome season. Can't wait. [/glow]

Grundy = Solomon Grundy, the man who was brought back to life after dying in a swamp. He's usually more muscluar, but whatever.
Also, Batman's done tons of Supernatural stuff. Magic seems to be involved in just about every other JLU episode, and Batman's fought alongside Zatanna and Etrigan lots of times. Batman: Haunted Gotham and Arkham Asylum: Living Hell are two mainstream examples of all-out nutty demonicness.
I agree, Batman does well with non-super natural rogues, but everyone loves a zombie, right?

I love how they're using lots of faux-Scarecrows since they're not allowed to use the real version (due to the movie coming out). Don't get what I mean?
1- Spellbinder can cause the hallucinations- like Scarecrow. 2- Hugo Strange is a twisted psychologist- like Scarecrow. 3- Ragdoll is a scary, skinny dude in a weird costume- like Scarecrow. 4- Solomon Grundy is a scary, largely silent dude- like Scarecrow.
Of course, that original Scarecrow design was so cool, it's too bad they can't use it.

I think Croc looks great, very Jim Lee-esque which is always a good thing. I'm sorta shocked to see Grundy in The Batman since he's still on JLU.
As always they all look great.

[shadow=green,left,300]That's awesome, DG!! I haden't realized that before... I knew most of that stuff about Scarecrow (who I hardly know anything about...) but I didn't know he could cast illusions. The villains I do know alot about are Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Two Face, Harley Quinn, Bane, Mr. Freeze and Catwoman. I no nothing to very little about Poison Ivy (sorry DG...), Scarecrow, Clayface, and all the new ones. However, as far as my limited knowledge goes, I think that FireFly, Cluemaster and Spellbinder are new to the series. (someone let me know if I'm wrong) I have heard of all the others though, but don't know much about them. I knew that Scarface and Ventriloquist had been in the Batman Animated Series.[/shadow]
