Hey larry,
I think that "elder statesman" sounds pretty grand for me, but thanks. I am very glad that you like what our team is brining to the screen. There are a lot of very talented and hardworking folks working to get this show off the ground.
It is true. The crew that I am working with today has been together in one form or another on other projects over the years. The animation industry is a truly interesting place. Though we may not always be on the same projects, we tend to cross paths with a pretty good frequency. In any business that is as "small" as ours is you tend to build relationships that, with any luck, will span many years and many many projects. I have the great pleasure to have worked with many of the people on The Batman Crew on many other projects since I got into the business. I feel pretty lucky to know these folks.

There's a lot of great, very nice and very talented people working on "The Batman." From these posts you've made here, and interacting with the fans in general, I feel that you can safely be added to that same list. I think the fans are the lucky ones, to be honest, having such people who will take the time to interact, and who are all so passionate about doing the best work they can. There's a genuine excitement and enthusiasm among the crew for this series, and I can't wait to learn what's unveiled at the Comic-Con this month. As great as the second season has been, I honestly believe the third season is only going to get better, and the inevitable fourth season will be even better than that. Anyway, have a good 4th of July as well. Take care, and once again, thanks for continuing to post here at Legions of Gotham. --Larry

Hey all! Firstly i have to say thanx for letting us fans ask questions to 'the batman' industry! Anyway can you say what Poison Ivy will be like in her episode 'Plant Seeds'? Is there going to be a new villainess to be added to series - Harley Quinn, Baby doll, Calender Girl etc.? What has been your favourite moment on 'The Batman' and what possible future ideas have you got for the next season{s}? Thanx Again!

Hey SRA,
I wish I could speculate upon upcoming Villain folk, but the Powers-That-Be would frown mightily upon that sort o' talk.
As for favorite moments, that would be tough. There are many moments I liked very much. Mostly though, I would have to say my greatest fun comes from the design end of things. Working on the villains is always a good time. I got to many reference art shots for folks like Clayface, Penguin, Spellbinder and the like. I enjoyed designing the Thugs for Riddler. There were many versions done before we settled on these there are now. I also really enjoy the team atmosphere when it comes to developing the folk you get to see on the screen. Now I just wish I had the time to watch the finished show regularly.
Thanks,
Thomas

I have a question Thomas. With Batman: the animated series, there was a writer's bible (which we have and will post soon) and style guides etc. That included character designs, some model sheets, plot points etc. To your knowlege, does the Batman have such a thing?

It does. Jeff did a little "how to draw Batman page" that is hanging up somewhere in the office. Actually, most shows have a bible of some sort. Some are more formal and in depth than others though.

Thanks for the reply Scabs. Just to clarify, so there's nothing officially organized design-wise for the show? What portions of the show do you work on, out of curiousity?
