EDIT Thanks to info from character designer Thomas Perkins, we all know that the Batman season three is completed, and with the exception of JMat, all of the show crew are out of work until season 4 is announced. In the meantime, you can chat with the crew here on LoG and check out their personal sites: You can check out Jose Lopez's new blog here: desoluz.blogspot.comhe's featuring some of his the Batman sketch work, so be sure to check it out! Thomas Perkins has a great site here: www.tnperkins.com

I can't believe this. Gordon, Man-bat, etc. will stay the same right?

Did he leave because of creative differences? As in, he didn't like the way such-and-such upcoming story-arc would involve his character(s)? Something like that...?

Oh, that sucks His charakter designs are one of my favoriets... I love his Ivy (my favoriet design from the show) and Man-Bat looks so creepy cool and Gordon looks like Gordon should look... That are really sad news. btw: His Joker sketch looks great and this little Batman...

*sniff* He had my favorite character designs. Familiar and faithful, yet with a different enough twist to be new.
Lol, the little Batman is funny. Penguin looks creepy (in a good way). Joker looks alright. Can't wait to see more.

[shadow=purple,left,300]That's sad to hear, but maybe it was for the best. Hopefully he'll have a great career after this. I was quite thrilled with his designs, so it's nice to be able to say Mr. Lopez had a positive impact on "The Batman."
As for those sketches... I dig 'em.[/shadow]

Kind Viewers,
Truth be told, and to lay speculation to rest....None of us, save Matsuda are working on the series any longer as that we have completed our work on Third Season. The Series is now working on finishing up the Third Season in Postproduction. They don't really require we of the design corps to attend to those functions. If luck has anything to do with it, we will continue making more episodes. Hopefully in the near future so that we may all be reunited to work on The Batman again. I believe that there will be a Fourth Season. As for now....who can truly say. And for the Record, Jose Lopez is a damn fine artist and a good guy. He is a credit to any art team lucky enough to have him.

Beat me to it Tom. ;D Like Thomas said, its everyone on the crew, not just Jose.
Its really a bummer I won't be seeing everybody on a daily basis, but it was alot of fun working with these guys for the last two years and I think everyone on the crew feels pretty much the same way.

Thomas,
thank you for putting any potential rumors to rest. This is one of the amazing advantages of great industry professionals like yourself communicating on the forum with your fans.
We're all praying desperately for a 4th season! I hope we can announce that soon and get you guys back on the bat! Until then, everyone with the show, please keep me up to date on what you are doing, so we can let everyone know!

Bring back The Batman!!! Bring back The Batman!!! so, if it DOESN'T get picked up for a fourth season, it will have 52 episodes total? isn't season two 26 eps long? so that means they just finished creating the last 13 eps for the third season, right? kind of a weird setup... season 1: 13 eps, season 2: 26 eps, and then season 3: back to 13 eps ...oh well... this won't be a problem as long as they BRING BACK THE BATMAN!

Hello everyone!! I just wanted to say thank's to Matt for spreading out the word about my blog and to thank all you guys and girls for your kind words and love for the show. I'm glad that Thomas cleared the misunderstanding and everybody knows the situation, which is a common one in the industry. We just hope they bring it back and we are available to do more fun stuff with Jeff and the crew. As for my blog, I'll be posting a bunch of drawings until I put together a website. So, check it out and let me know what you think. www.desoluz.blogspot.comthank you Lopez

[shadow=purple,left,300]I definitely hope the series is brought back for a fourth season, or possibly as a partial spin-off like "TNBA" to "BTAS." This show definitely has a lot of style, and it has me hooked, to be honest, especially after all the well written and well animated episodes of season 2. Of course there are still a ton of villains I'd like to see, and I'd like a few episodes to explore some current villain origins, but I'd settle for anything as long as the series returns.[/shadow]

I just can't imagine no Batman cartoons on TV. For the last 15 plus years, we've had Batman cartoons in some form or another. Justice League seems to be running its course. This was supposed to be its last season, but the powers that be decided on more season. I thought The Batman was suppose to replace JLU and the Dini/Timm universe.

Did the math,
With the production stoping, and for hypothetical purposes lets pretend that this is basically it being cancelled, season three will only have 11 eps. In a press release it talked about there being 26 eps after season one. Season 2 begining to Batgirl Begins is 15 eps. yeah

Hey Guys,
We made 13 episodes in season 1, 13 episodes in season 2, and 13 episodes on season 3. 36 episodes and a DTV (Batman vs Dracula) thus far. 52 is the magic number for syndication, I believe. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. Thomas thanks for clarifying that Thomas. Here's to hoping for a season four. WB caused a lot of confusion with their press release regarding seasons 2 & 3. They had combined the two seasons into season 2 for some reason, lol. Glad to have it all cleared up.

I always imagined the show would go on for at least 4 or 5 seasons. BTAS and BTNA lasted a long time. So far everything Batman has been good and high quality. I just hate the idea that there would be no more Batman at all on my TV.

Apparently, another site is saying they know for sure that The Batman is "not cancelled" - they didn't say it will be back for a 4th season.
What I get out of that is simply another way of saying it's on hiatus until a 4th season is for sure. Not really news, but if that's what they want to claim it is, then that's ok. Same thing you've heard here on LOG for days now, just restated in a different manner.
The petition won't hurt anything by continuing - if anything, it will show WB that there are fans who enjoy this show and want to see it continue.

Hmm. I had a reply here and now its gone. I had linked to a story at news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=5444 that states A representative for Warner Bros. Animation has confirmed that despite the current spreading rumors, The Batman is currently in no danger of being cancelled. It goes on to mention 'they' are expecting a 13 ep pick-up later in the year, and that "there's no need to worry." Um. Ookay. We'll see, I suppose.

Like I said above Nuptse, they're only saying the same thing that we've heard here - it's just a different 'spin' on it so they can claim to have some 'news' or a 'scoop' on the show. LOG - "We don't know if the show will be back at this time - it hasn't been announced that there is a 4th season and the creative team isn't working on the show right now. This info is from the creative team working on the show. It hasn't been officially cancelled, but it hasn't been picked up either. Here's a petition to show your support." TZ - "We can say the show hasn't been cancelled. This info is from a WB Animation insider! More info later!" Yep. That sure is news that'll break the internet.
