THE BATMAN AIRS ON BBC ‘The Batman’ - the all new Animated Television series will be showing for the first time on terrestrial television on the BBC. Following the Box Office success of Batman Begins, ‘The Batman’ animated cartoon series will be launched on the BBC in time for October half term. CBBC will launch the show on November 1st and it will play out stripped from that date on (Monday – Friday).

This is a bit of good news and bad.
It had been aired in the UK on Toonami on Sky but terestial means everyone can watch it
However the bbc will advertise it in the campest way possible.

Here's some info on how the Batman is doing on the BBC, straight from WB. *************** “THE BATMAN” -- BBC SUCCESS ‘The Batman’ animated series launched on BBC1 on Thursday 20th October for the first time on terrestrial TV in the UK. In the first week just under 700,000 viewers tuned in, delivering a 6.8% share with all Individuals. The show ranked at #1 in the timeslot with Boys 4-9 (97,000 viewers) as well as Boys 4-15 (161,000 viewers), averaging shares of 24% and 20% respectively The BBC ran a 2 week competition during CBBC interstitials featuring product placement of Batman product. In addition, Blue Peter had a feature on how to make your own Batcave. The authentic cave consisted of papier mache walls and a working lift that children could fill with ‘The Batman’ accessories and toys. In half-term Batman product saw a significant uplift in sales of merchandise. For example Mattel experienced a strong increase in sales in the week after the launch of “The Batman” in key retailers: Tesco +60% Argos +45% (led by Batcave +220% supported by Mattel TV advert) TRU +40% Asda +30% Woolworth's +25% The success of “The Batman” on the BBC will push Christmas sales and set the stage for a strong year for “The Batman” in 2006.

I car I must say I liked how they showed not one, not two but 3 episodes at a time in an hour slot!!
Fantstic and it went straight into season 2!

Warner Bros. Consumer Products are excited to announced that "The Batman" animated series will return to the BBC for a second series on Saturday March 25th 2006.
When "The Batman" ran on the BBC in October and November 2005 Batman product saw a significant uplift in sales of merchandise. Mattel experienced a strong increase in sales in the week after the launch of “The Batman” in key retailers.
"The Batman" airing on the BBC will set the stage for a strong year for the Batman brand in 2006.

Thanx /\/\att!! - Except when they aired the batman on the bbc they aired all 26 episodes!! So does this mean Season 3 will be coming? Thanx again!!

I have searched everywhere for this news. I have also went through all of the BBC channels on Sky and i cant find any news of it at all. I have sent an email to the BBC but i doubt if i will get an answe.

I cant find anything eigher - Going to email bbc also but have not seen any adverts yet for the show!! /\/\att do u have a link or any info on air times and which bbc channel its on! Thanx again tho for the info!
