I say why not!? At this point, Go for it! Im excited to see what the conjur up for him. Gotta take advantage of the oportunity while they have it and it wouldnt be right to never see him. I also wouldnt be surprised if his direction on this show is somehow complimentary or derivitive of everything going on with his character in the comics and Teen Titans. We'll see.

First of all, I'm going to state that I'm a pro-Robin guy.
I truly believe that Batman needs a Robin. Batman and Robin has a nice ring to it. There is a progression going on in the The Batman series. Batman was an outlaw in the first. He became a hero in the second. Batgirl appeared in the third. Robin appears in the fourth. Maybe Superman shows up in the fifth. Justice League in the six.
Hey why not?

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the team ups with just Batman and Batgirl but I'm glad they are bringing Robin into the story. I'm curious how they'll interpret him. I don't think they are rushing by bringing him in Season 4 nor do I think Batgirl will be backburner material. Each character will hold their own.

It had fits!
Seasons 1-2: Batman as an outlaw becoming a hero of Gotham and in the public's eye.
Season 3-4: The Bat family uprising.
I like the idea of maybe Superman in Season 5. Because we already had a Superman animated show. And while a new one might be made because of Superman Returns, Superman and Batman together is always the dream from us fans. So a show on the both of them isn't bad at all and I want that to happen.
This also leads to an idea for another DTV that would introduce them and lead into Season 5. I just don't know about JL in Season 6.
I have two ideas in mind for that. Either:
a) Have Trinity of three heroes; Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Then do JL later.
or
b) Do JL, but this time: have JLA, JSA, JL Elite, and JL International. Then so on and so forth.

First of all, THANKS /\/\ATT This are great news, but... I have mixed feelings about it My positive thoughts: - It could be a lot of fun when he interacts with Batgirl - He could get a arch-nemesis, maybe Two-Face or so - Interesting how they handle his relationship with Batman - He could be like in All-Stars Batman & Robin - His costume could be really new and cool My negative thoughts: - Maybe it is to early to introduce another sidekick so short after Batgirl? - If there are two sidekicks, is there enough place for Batman? - What will happen to Batgirl? We know what happens to Yin when Gordon came! - He could be a really annoying teen! - Kindergarten!? All in all, even if there are more negative thoughts, I can't wait to see him in the show. And I have enough faith in the team of the show, that they'll handle him very good. Also can't wait to see his costume, hope it will be a little more special. I have some feelings that we'll see Robin here first at LOG

Robin? But there's already a Batgirl. I don't see him fitting into the show right now. Oh well...it all depends on what he's going to be like. Hopefully different from the TT version, but still like...Robin. And how old will he be anyway? I hope not younger then Batgirl. I think it would be the best if they were the same age. No...he should be a few years older. Maybe 19 or 20. I don't know ;D

Okay I have thought about it but, my only theory is 1 villain against 3 heroes the villains wouldn't have much of a chance besides team ups. Sorry /\/\att about my opinion yesterday but, I didn't like the Teen Titans Robin look. I will give this a shot but, I hope batman can get some alone time to take on Riddler. I wanted to see Riddler's first look on Batgirl but, I don't think my dream will come true.

im actually a little shocked that some of you think that TB is rushing the introduction of the sidekicks. if you look at past animated shows (i.e. TAS) the supporting heros were all around by season 2. granted they werent in every episode, but they were in the show. we dont know what they plan on doing in TB just yet as far as appearances so lets just wait and see.
on the voice issue i would like to hear a completely new voice for Robin. i think alot of people would try to tie it to the the TT. and unless im wrong, arent they 2 completely different universes?

Why not have a total conversion of TT's Robin? The last episode could be why Robin leaves the TT and comes back to Gotham. Robin could have been Batman's sidekick in the three years before the show started. This could lead to serious leadership competition between the two, because TT's Robin loves to be in charge.

I'm more than happy to see Robin join the ranks and i would really like Mr Menville to take the role.It would be only fitting! The Batman's team hasn't lead us wrong so far imo and i have faith that as the Bats ranks expand the villains and storylines will grow with it.I'll be keen to see how it pans out.

I think that adding Robin to the mix will really be interesting. I'm looking forward to a possible a Robin/Batgirl team up w/o bats. The interaction between Dick(who knows, maybe Tim) and Babs would be pretty interesting. An actual reversal of roles from the first BTAS arrival of Batgirl. Robin would be the upstart with Batgirl wanting the amature to go home. Could be really interesting. I also like the TT design for robin, so a style change (keep the costume design) would be cool.

First of all, Robin has to be Dick Grayson. There has been no Robin before in The Batman. remember, this is Batman just starting out. But then, how long can Batman remain a rookie? He's already moving from hero to superhero.
Like it was mentioned before, we are just going to have to put our trust in the writers. There was a Batman, Batgirl, Robin before in the old series, so why not here? Robin and Batgirl are important to the mythology. At it give the writers a wider range to work with. We can still have solo Batman adventures, Batman/Batgirl adventures, Batman/Robin, and Robin/Batgirl.
Its all good.

The cast of TT said that Robin was just Robin, no one else. Meaning he wasnt part of the Batman connection. But showing him as Nightwing, I guess they changed their view

I think it's good news. I know that I've argued against it in the past, but that was when The Batman was in its second season. Surely by the fourth season (and already at its third season), the character will be growing more and more and growing away from being a "rookie."
I also don't see a problem with crossing over the Teen Titans Robin or having Scott Menville do the voice. The style of the Robin suit seems very fitting in the world of "The Batman." The WB promo that had the TT Robin and TB Batman was very cool and looked very appropriate. However, I think it's more likely that they'll be going with a restart to Robin, which is also fine by me. Bring on Robin! ;D

O.K....elaborating (please, no one take offence. these are my personal thoughts, nothing else). If you like the robin character thats great, I can live with him as long as it is NOT in the teen titans style. Being a child of the sixties I remember the "original" Batman series all too well. It was great, the campiness was wonderful, and Robin was more than acceptable. Along came Batman '89, Batman Returns the Batman character was cool, dark, brooding a man with problems. then forever and the dreaded B&R came along with Robin attatched, stinko to 100th degree! Batman TAS was cool, at first no Robin but when he did enter it was handeled decently as he was all the way through TAS, TABR and TNBA. I watched about one minute of teen titans about a year ago and was 100% turned off by thier version of Robin, he just plain sucked (can't say too much for the entire show as well, but again my opinion only). My biggest problem with the addition of Robin to "The Batman" is I don't want to see it become too childish, I understand that this is a childs Saturday morning cartoon but I am very fond of it ( not to keen on the Batgirl character at this point) and I don't want to see "the squirt" screw it up. I don't think that any animated Batman series will ever live up to the quailty and craftmanship displayed in BTAS but so far The Batman has come close, just don't want to see it wrecked. Thanks for listing! (BTW...'nuff said borowed with permission of Stan Lee, just jokin' stan!!!)

Imagine this..right now, the villains, for the most part, act alone..they're divided..managable. But, what if they united. What if they figure out that working together, Batman can't stop them all...he's only one man..he only has one little girl sidekick...
...thus the need for more back-up. A real need for Robin.
