Interesting, if true. He does kinda look like Brandon Roush. (And I always thought The Bruce Wayne looked a bit like Christian Bale.)

Superman kind of looks like Bruce Wayne on 'The Batman' if you ask me just my thoughts. Thomas did a nice job on that. I wish it was official though.

Hm... Excellent design. I meen, he looks like Brandon Routh! LOL! Now, after seeing this I am somewhat behind a Superman cartoon in the Jeff Matsuda style. Although manned by a different team, ofcoarse.

Hey Folks,
Sorry to say, but this is not official in any way. It is a bit of Superman art I did just for kicks. I figure after working on The Batman for 3 seasons...some art about that guy over in Metropolis might be fun. Just a little something for my portfolio. That's all.

I posted on this Superman pic way back in October in This ThreadSorry, I didn't knew that MATT I hope the Superman show will have a "The Batman" style. It would be cool if they make "The DC-Universe" with crossovers and so... btw: Great design Mr. Perkins!

That looks cool.... but I gotta say, Thank God that it is not official, I mean, if you check out the Superherohype forums about this new picture, they're not liking it.

if you check out the Superherohype forums about this new picture, they're not liking it. IMO, SHH forums aren't an authority on well....much of anything. It's just a bunch of children trying to increase their post count. They're a big repost blog (y'know, one of those blogs that reads the news on other sites and then copies the story onto their page, so they get a hit or two?) with a forum attached. I haven't ever seen any original 'news' broken there.

I have to agree with Reideen on this one. I'm not much concerned about what the kids at SHH think...I'd pay more attention to what people say at oh, Blue Tights or The Superman Homepage...or even, gasp, LoG. These are fansites for real fans...general blogs like SHH are largely for trolls.

It would not surprise me to have a new Superman cartoon after JLU. I'm sure with the hype of the Superman Returns movie we will see "The Adventures of Superman." in late 2006 or Fall 07. Then we will have a new World's Finest. History repeats itself again.
Let's just remember that this pic is a rough draft. Nothing is definite yet and characters go through changes before they get animated.

Its in NO way related to anything WB has in mind.

Question: I know this isn't real but; you know how Batman's symbol is based on the '60s show, is the S symbol based on any previous version?

Question: I know this isn't real but; you know how Batman's symbol is based on the '60s show, is the S symbol based on any previous version? well, anyone correct me if i'm wrong, but as i understand it, that "S" shield here is a mix of the original 1st "S" from the comics (mainly the yellow outline) and that of the new film's costume (mainly the 3D effect). similarly, the new film's version is also in ways (primaril the smaller size) taken from, or a tribute to the original comic version.

How come we always think the folow-up to The Batman will be The Superman? I doubt that would work for real. Because The Batman is very easy to pronouce, The Superman isn't. And seen mainly in the show where alot of people say "Its the Batman!" etc.
You know, how about (and you Matsuda as well) the show called "It's Superman"? Its very easy to pronouce and sorta similar to TB's title.
Like the book.
