Hey! I can't believe with all us geeks on here there is NO thread about the new TMNT 3D movie. Holly and I took the kids to it on Saturday...it was beyond wicked. Really was. The great thing..and if you've seen the movie you should already have caught this, is that our friends Jeff Matsuda and Jose Lopez did MAD design work on these characters. They're basically 3D 'Matsuda-style' TMNT. Of course Lopez did his usual amazing work as well! I don't want to overshadow his contributions. AND our good friend Thomas Perkins III (the batman, ben10) designed all the monsters that get loose in the film...which are AMAZING I HIGHLY recommend seeing this film..it was extremely well done.

I was gonna make a TMNT thread as soon as I saw it, but time has not been good. I'm seeing it next week though. It should be great!

I saw it yesterday with my boys, 7 and 5 yo. They loved it! We had to rush out and get Raph and Leo action figs. I was rather impressed. Definately exceeded expectations.

My brother went to see it and said he thought it was really good, and was suprised. He told me that I should take Nathan and go see it, but its hard to get out to the movies with the twins. Ive only read good reviews on it, which to be honest kinda shocked me, they have all said it will please fans of the original comics, the cartoon, and attract new fans.

Yeah I completely agree with that Shadowbat...its got a lot of old comic elements...a good bit of violence, without being tasteless...and without being too campy. Its a perfect blend.

I liked it quite a bit-I'm a TMNT fan from the early Mirage comics days. I'd rate this movie right up there with the first live-action Turtles flick. Very close to the comics. On a Batman note, apparently this WB flick was cut quite a bit before release. Several scenes of characters bleeding or even saying the word blood were cut and the fight scenes were cut to make them less violent....sounds like Revenge of the Joker all over again. Hopefully we'll get a special PG-13 Directors Cut DVD of the new TMNT one of these days....

I think the person who voices The Joker in The Batman voices one of the stone generals too

i saw thisfilm yesterday, and it was absolutely amazing. kevin michael richardson does do a voice or two for it as well as john dimagiio and jim cummings. another thing unrelated to the casting was that when i went to see the film i was the only one in the whole screen room, i kind of felt like a VIP. the ending was great and gave a little hinting at what will happen in the next film which i'm hoping will be made

Actually, this is set after the third film-at the end you can see relics from the first 3 films in Splinters trophy case. The producer has hinted that if they do a sequel it will most likely be rated PG-13 and be based on the CIty at War storyline from the original comics....although they also covered that storyline in the recent FOX cartoon,so who knows if they'd be willing to do it again.

Im curious to see this. I no doubt will be renting it but unlikely I'll be catching it in the theatre. Im not exactly a Turtles "fan" have found them quirky, funny and fun in the past. I remember I went and saw the 1st two live action movies. I expect this new one is likely better all around. I dont get out to many movies anymore so when / if I do see another anytime soon, I can think of others I would see first and wouldnt expect Turtles to still be an option by then lol.

I saw this over my vacation with my wife and 9 year old daughter. We all thought it was extremely well done. I for one thought it may be a bit cheesy when I first heard about it, but after that first teaser trailer I was hooked !!
I loved the idea of Shredder not being in this and there were new villians introduced. I highly recommed everyone here to see this movie, you won't be dissapointed
Now I can't wait for Imagi to release Gatchaman!! (aka Battle of the Planets for those of us growing up in the late 70's)

I love how they kept the original Ninja Turtle feel of the 1980's cartoons of my childhood - yes I'm born in 1982. Well, I was disapointed not to see Shredder ...

Meh, the animation was really good, but I preferred the original trilogy (especially the first one), it was alot better I think. This one was further away from the original turtle stories... I dunno. Hard to say. I just liked the first ones better

I never did get a chance to see this but from all the pictures I saw, it looks great! It's awesome that part of The Batman crew worked on it!
