Thanks for the link. I think Casimir or someone posted something about these last week, but it was a small picture. I like them, but I also don't like them. I think I might be passing on them as I don't like the pose of Batman. I'll have to see a different angle I think before I make my mind up for sure. PJ

I actually really like the pose they have Batman in. It looks like they were trying to recreate the first Hush issue cover (608?).

The bar has been raised and a new standard has been set. Even unpainted those look better than anything out there! The Batman is awesome. Now if we can only have an action figure that could pull off that pose. Thanks for the link levere.

According to Hobby Link Japan, these are "trading figures" which means that they will probably be fairly small and you won't know which figure you have until you open the package. I still want them but I really hate the mystery packaging.

These items are marked as "trading kits" ala "trading cards." The Packages are sealed and the items are randomly packed. Because of this, it is impossible for HobbyLink Japan to handle request which specific figures and we cannot promise which figure you will receive in a box. Please place your order for this item only if you are willing to receive any one of the different types.
Yen Price: 6,000 About $54.03 USD; €44.82 Euros
Stock Status: Sept. Release
You can order them at www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?KBYX-03

The Box is listed as containing 12 pieces and since there appears to be only 3 figures in the set I'd say there's a pretty good chance you will get all 3 characters in a box.

So these are the Batman Trading Figures then?! Didn't someone on this board say DC Direct was importing those later on as a box set?

So these are the Batman Trading Figures then?! Didn't someone on this board say DC Direct was importing those later on as a box set? I hope so. I've been collecting a lot of these trading figures recently (Alien, Devil May Cry, Transformers) and as much as I like them, it can get kind of expensive trying to collect a complete set. I've yet to see any series with only 3 figures in it so I suspect there will be more in this series as well.

wait, so are these kits pre-painted? or are they in true kit-form (like they look in the pics)? Like TJM said, they are mini-figures, not kits. The mini Alien figures that I bought recently were also listed as "trading kits". Not sure why.

Not knowing who you'll get + $54 a figure = me not buying these. I'm not a fan of hyper pre-posed figures anyway ...but that just sealed the deal for me. I'll pass. PJ

$54 is the price for a case of 12 figures.
Besides, there are suckers like me who will buy a case and then have a pile of extras to unload.

TD It's good to know these are coming over in a box set, trading figures, although fun at first gets a bit disheartening over time... is it going to be like the comic style Kubricks box set were a figure or two are left out (like how we didn't get Azreal or Spoiler in our box set) and/or altered from the Japanese version (how the box-set Batman and Robin are different then the Japanese Batman and Robin)? or will they be like the Yamato figures and brought over as is?

I was told about these several months ago and asked if they would be imported .I was told that these were going to be imported via DC Direct as a boxed set.with several figures...that's pretty much all that was said.So right now I cant tell you whether there will be variants or figures left ou from what you might get in Japan.I do plan to talk to the source fairly soon though.....and I'll ask those specific questions for you. I can tell you that I'm going to get a case of these from Japan just in case...that and I cant wait to get new Bat-Toys!! TD

Same here. I don't want to risk missing out on any. I'm with you guys these are too cool to risk missing a particular figure, plus I think the price is pretty good.
