1. How many times has he appeared in Batman comics , wasn't he dead in some 70s issues or something ?
2. If he appears in a movie , who should play him ?
I think he's underrated & he deserves much more exposure , imo.

[shadow=purple,left,300] 1] No idea. I haven't read any comics with him in it. I do know that they apparently did kill him, according to a fan archive of Batman's Rogue Gallery.
2] That's a harder question. Gary Oldman, Christopher Lloyd or Kelsey Grammer. They seem like the Mad Scientist type, although Oldman is Gordon in "Begins."
And yes, Hugo is a bit underrated. Hopefully, he'll be exposed more in "The Batman." But then again, he is a 2nd-rate villain, afterall.[/shadow]

... and no one thought to direct you to the "Now Official" Batman Comic Book Resource for the LoG?
Drop in at Collected Issues of the Dark Knight www.rasalghul.co.uk and Checkout the Bio under Database, Characters. It should show most of the appearances to date.

He should of dies so many times Yeah, but if you kill off too many bad guys you have to keep inventing new ones and they'll be one minute wonders and get lamer and lamer. I prefer they build on a character for a while - even if they die a couple of times in the process. Bring back Kite-man ;D

But I've always known him as Dr. Hugo Strange just like Dr. Leslie Tompkins is not just Leslie Tompkins - to my mind at least. Maybe I should change it? W

Mr. Freeze was a 2nd-rate villian before Batman The Animated Series came out. Look what the show did for him. He became a villian in one of the movies. So exposure like that can do something for Hugo Strange too (snicker...)
