Batman: Death and the Maidens is a fantastic tpb, if you like the character Ras al ghul, then this gives you a little bit more of an insight into his mindset

I just got done reading it. It is very good, but I didn't see the importance of killing Superman again. I did read the Superman comic when he fought Doomsday and the comics after, ie A World Without Superman, The Retunr of Superman, but I didn't think that his death would have been such a turing point in the way Nyssa wanted. I am reading it again and I am almost done. I do like the way Bruce speaks with his parents and how they are disappointed in what he has become how it changed him. But I'm not sure I saw him change his attitude from the beginning of the book when he said he didn't feel his parents death the way he used to. But then again I'm not sure that was the point. All in all a very good story. Any other input?

I was more intrigued by the plot/story then anything else. There's "scenes" in Death and Maidens that just blew my mind when I first read them...I won't spoil it for you, but I will say there'll definitely be parts of the book that you'll just be amazed by in their depth and they're overall "crafting." Though I did have some problems with some of the characters, the story made up for any shortcomings in that department. Not to mention, the art is extremely good...I'd definitely recommend it.

I loved this mini-series and highly recommend it to all Bat-fans! We don't see much of Ra's anymore and this story brings his past, present and future together in a well-crafted plot created by the brilliant Greg Rucka (if you want to read some amazing Rucka, read the current arc of Adventures of Superman.... amazing!!!). Klaus Jenson adds amazing pencils and this series rocks! Pick it up, read and enjoy!

Ive recently read the TPB of Death and the Maidens. I liked most of the story but I felt they down-palyed Talia a little too much. I understand that they wanted to show that Nyssa was a powerful manipulator second to Ra's, but still. Talia has been doing Daddy's dirty work for years, I would have liked to see a more clever way to trick her that didnt make her look so naive.

I am used to Talia being cold and manipulative. I understand that by her going through the Lazarus process would shake her up but even before that she was a bit too timid.
