He was killed in Catwoman not even a year ago. Without explanation, he's back among the living.
I get all of the Batman comics, minus the animated ones. So what's the deal?

Then they need to throw away the group editor fo the books. The recent stories are incresingly messy and there's no distinction between the titles anymore. LOTDK is continuity and all the books are pretty much the same.

I think they need to stop and re-think their mission vision for each title...really consider what its purpose is, and get back on track. Could someone tell me why Blask Mask has a skull for a face instead of the "classic" mask he is wearing in the animated Batman comics and in the DC comics encyclopedia. Thanks to any that can help.

I have the issue, but can't remeber clearly. I believe he was burnt during one of the big crossovers. He's also supposed to be dead.

[shadow=blue,left,300]It will indeed be interesting to see how this all pans out. DC's continuity issues have always baffled me, until I read The DC Comics Encyclopedia! It helps make since of a lot of things all in a post Zero-Hour view. Not that it necessarily solves the Black Mask issue, but i am sure there will be some explaination when it is all said and done...now whether or not it will make sense remains to be seen.[/shadow] |

Thanks Det, from his look in the War Games series it looks like the flesh on his face was melted off (shudders). I guess it could be a new mask.

I do know that it's his face. I think it happened in NML, but am not sure. I also want to say Firefly did it, but can't vividly remember. My comics are very out of order and are in large stacks of boxes, or I would look it up.
He died in the current Catwoman series earlier this year.
I've always found DC has been a lot more good with continuity than Marvel. There a few real messes (Hawkman) and a few confusing ones (The Flash and his timetraveling and offspring) but they're good at cleaning it up and keeping the essentials
