Phil Hester and Ande Parks, the "Green Arrow" team, are going to be the new regular artists on "Nightwing."
I can't wait! Phil is an awesome guy. I'll definately start picking up this book, just for the art work!

[shadow=blue,left,300]I'm not familiar with their art. Guess I'll need to go scan a Green Arrow issue.[/shadow]

My issue is more with the writing than the art. I've met Phil and Andy on a number of occasions and they're great guys. I've been a fan of Phil's work since DC's Bloodlines crossover (and I've got the signed copies of Phil's stuff from back then to prove it! ;D) However, the art alone is not enough to get me to pick up the book. I really enjoyed Dixon's run on Nightwing and to see everything that he built the character into - great supporting cast, good villains, Dick trying to be a cop during the day, etc - all torn down over the past year.... it makes me seriously question if I would pick up this book again. (I haven't picked up Nightwing in years, so I've been trying to read up on what's been going on since my first post in this thread. I'm not as excited as I was then. )

I've rather enjoyed Devin's run....it has been great, and really further developed Dick's character.

Do you really think so? I've skimmed some of her run and from what I've seen, it's mostly been tearing down everything that Dixon built. I might have to give it a closer look. Are there specific arcs that you would recommend?

The whole "Blockbuster" arc from the 80's-100.
The story was about Blockbuster taking everything from Dick, and him making his worst mistake...and then taking control to solve the problem and attempt to put his life back on track. Really good if you read the whole thing and get what she was doing...a bunch of the people on the DC MB complain about everything...and hate it. However...it's actually been good.

The whole "Blockbuster" arc from the 80's-100. I read parts of that run. Mainly, the death of Blockbuster stuff and I really thought it was out of character for Dick. Maybe I'll read the whole thing to get a better perspective. Thanks.

Yeah...one or two issues makes it seem out of character...the whole arc is meant to strengthen him...so...
