Nightwing is my favorite comics character....but to me Tim IS Robin...the attitude, the detective skills, abilities...he is not the acrobat Dick is, nor the leader...but he is a better ROBIN.

I think Tim Drake is the best Robin; I think Dick is a much better solo hero than sidekick, and Tim is a much more skilled detective; I think the world's greatest detective needs a detective-y sidekick. Jason Todd died. Worst characteristic of a Robin.  ;D Would make a great villain, tho...  Spoiler? As if. BTW, is she dead? And Carrie Kelly...only in Dark Knight. ;D |

Tim Drake all the way! Tim found out Bats and Nightwing's identity which shows his amazing detective skills. Also after his dads and Stephanie's death, I'm interested in seeing whats going to happen with his personality. In one of the recent issues, Alfred said that he was hoping that Bruce would become more like Tim, but now after the recent tragedies, Tim is becoming more like Bruce. And as for Dick, he's better off being Nightwing. Jason's dead. Steph's Dead. So thats why Tim is the man!  |

Yes! I never liked her...it was Black Mask, right? Yup. I voted Drake, btw (obviously). If there has to be a Robin...it might as well be him. |

I know all the arguments in favor of Tim, who I like, but I'm a traditionalist, so I voted for Dick Grayson.

[shadow=green,left,300]had to go with tim....while Dick as a great Robin..he was suited for more...whereas Tim, IMO, won't ever amount to much more than Robin...although with the recent deaths of Steph and his dad...he is growing quite a bit...time will tell...[/shadow]

Tim is best suited to fill the role of Robin. Altho I think Dick is better in most ways to Tim...Dick needed to grow beyond being Robin and really was destined to be his own man as Nightwing.

I know that DC writers insist on us accepting that "what's happening right now is the best thing that's ever happened" but I don't buy Tim.
When Dick was Robin, they Dynamic Duo was described as being a wel-oiled machine. You could argue that Dick was the Robin that was allowed into Batman's world the most. After Todd, Batman really will just never accept a partner on the level that he accepted Dick.
I also feel that Dick's success as a Titan leader is part of how great of a Robin he was, since there have now been three Robins in the Titans.
Mostly I just think Dick, a character that's been with us forever, just has more heart.

 Tim for me too,its just i dont think robin was the excellent character he is today when dick was in the role.i now it was pre crisis and comics were different but to me tim IS robin and continues to impress me all the time

Don't get me wrong, I love Grayson and Drake, but Carrie Kelly was in many ways the heart of Frank Miller's series (which is one of my personal favourites). A light hearted, brilliant teen who was the perfect contrast to the angsty, dark caped crusader was perfect. She's pure Robin attitude.
Of course, her turn as Catgirl in DK2 is best forgotten...like the rest of that series.
