I bought and read Batman: War on Crime, which was superb, if shorter than I expected, and Batman Chronicles, since maybe 2/3 of the volume is stuff I really wanted to read but never got to. I especially enjoyed the two Joker stories.

I finally read Identity Crisis as an HC(the Turner variant, comic-shops-only cover, btw), and it was just great. Loved the mystery, and the story had so many great parts, from the Deathstroke vs. JL members fight(brilliant!), to the deaths of Sue Dibny and Jack Drake(tragic!), to the revelations of the mindwipings of Dr. Light(early on), and Batman(near the end), which was horrifying and maddening. A very well-written, well-drawn, brilliant piece of comic book art.

The last one I got was ALL STAR#2. The last comic I checked out was Amazing Spider-Man#525 and Gotham Knights#70. GK was better. Spidey's just not getting me worked up like he used to. Maybe if he had a new cartoon*hint, hint*

Part of One of "Dead Robin" in Gotham Central. I'm picking up the rest of the chapters tomorrow.
This is a great series. I really dig it. (But that's a thread for a different day.)

Well, I read the Omac Project tpb, but for some reason, didn't like it much. It was well enough written, and it established important things for the DC Universe...I just didn't find the story itself that interesting or engaging. I found I had to drag myself through the story. Although, I did feel that Countdown to Infinite Crisis, which is included in the volume, was very good, and it actually made me sad when Blue Beetle died. The Omac Project itself, tho...just wasn't for me, I guess. I hope I really like Villains United, because that's the other Infinite Crisis tie-in series I will get as a tpb, and I'm really looking forward to that in December.

Well, I'm psyched after my trip to the comic book store, here's why: I went to the comic book store ready to pick up All-Star Superman #1, but the owner told me that the ones with the Neal Adams cover(the one I want) come in next week, so I went over to take a glance at the Batman graphic novels, and lo and behold, what did I see? One copy of 'The Complete Frank Miller Batman' leatherbound HC!!! It was $25. So now I own that, and happy I am about it. And it has got to be the most superb, high quality graphic novel I have ever seen.

I read the Villains United tpb last night. It was awesome! *SPOILER ALERT* I'm more convinced than ever that The Society's Lex Luthor is the Pre-Crisis version of Luthor, after what Pariah said to him, and what he said to Pariah before he killed him. And that is just fascinating. Deathstroke kicked butt as usual, and Catman was actually a really cool character. I hope we see more of him at some point down the road. It was also really interesting to see that the only person who can outsmart and outdo Lex Luthor, is Lex Luthor!

As I mentioned elsewhere, I read Batman and the Monster Men No. 2.
Read it guys. It's worth it. Very old school in the very best sense of the term.

Mine was actually a Batman Strikes issue. Number 16 I believe where Joker steals the Batmobile. It wasnt too bad yet not that great at the same time. But there was some part of it that kept me wanting to like it and so I kept reading. A surprise but very rushed or fast-paced ending IMO. Not a bad issue but I think I won't be buying it anytime soon

I got HUSH and HAUNTED KNIGHT for Christmas.
What I don't get though is why Jason wears a Robin mask under the Hush Bandages and the Red Hood mask. He already has a mask on, so why does he need his Robin mask?

I bought and read Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, by Grant Morrison. It's an ingenious story, very, very creepy and macabre. Between All-Star Superman and this, Morrison has become one of my favorite writers. I can't wait to read his upcoming run on BATMAN! I highly recommend Arkham Asylum, but it's DEFINITELY not for kids, or those with weak constitutions(there's some frightening and gruesome stuff in there!).

I recommend Paul Pope's Batman: Year 100 - the first issue was great, it reminded me, alternatively, of Year One and DKR. I also want to second Batdan's praise of Batman and the Monster Men - a great series. I just got #5 and it does NOT disappoint!

Just got Justice#4 this week, doesn't take long to actually read but ogling the Ross Art absorbs a hell of a lot of time for me. It's quite funny that i've been a BatFan for 30mumble mumble years and this is the very first Comic Series i've ever subscribed to so i don't miss an issue.
