If you're a fan of Frank Cho's art, or simply a fan of Shanna the She-devil, you might want to check out the new mini series coming from *gasp!* Marvel. This might just be the first book that I've purchased from Marvel in....years. The artwork is beautiful and the story is...interesting. Ka-zar doesn't appear though, which makes me wonder if this is really Shanna? Here's a preview of the entire first book, thanks to Mile High (warning - it does get a little graphic violence wise towards the end): www.milehighcomics.com/firstlook/marvel/shanna1/

I'm probably not going to buy it, even though the art does look great. But thats just me. Anyway thought I'd add that I go to the same university Cho went to. Hooray for Me!!

I just saw some of the unaltered shots from this book. It went from being rated R to PG13. Basically, Marvel made them cover up all of Shanna's naughty bits, but they left the graphic violence. Hmm...what does that say about our society?

Hmm...what does that say about our society? It says we are ok about violence, but are too sensitive about sex/nudity? Which is just crazy, cause I love both. especially in comics.

So, did anyone besides me pick this up? Even though I read the entire book online weeks ago, I still purchased it. It's the first Marvel book I've bought in probably 3 years (for myself that is - the kids occasionally will get a Spidey comic). The art is incredible and I enjoyed the story in the first 2 issues, so I'm giving it a shot.
