[shadow=blue,left,300]Hello,
When I first started collecting comics, I was always pulled into the story AND art and would anxiously await the next issue. That atmosphere has decreased in recent times. Don't get me wrong, there have been several stories that have pulled my interest but they seem to be stretched apart. Batman and Gotham Knights have for the most part produced quality stories maintaining the make you want more appeal, but Detective seems to be lost at sea.
My suggestion is to bring back the awesome team of ALAN GRANT (story) and NORM BREYFOGLE (art) to Detective Comics. Their run on Detective was incredible. The stories made me want more and the art made me feel like I was in that dark alley watching the action firsthand. To me those stories are part of my glory days of collecting comics.
I would be thrilled beyond words to see the return of Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle on a Batman project for DC Comics. I believe they can bring quality storytelling to the readers of DC Comics. I hope you feel the same as I do.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please post your thought below and vote above. I would like to forward this to DC editors.[/shadow]
Note: Norm Breyfogle penciled Detective from the late 500's to almost the mid 600's and again with Batman starting with 455. He also started Shadow of the Bat with The Last Arkham and also the incredible elseworlds title: Holy Terror.

I'm sure they would Gotham..but this isn't really the appropriate section for the poll.
I'm moving it to the comics forum.

I really enjoyed Jack's performance as Joker for what it was, but I still have hopes that Nolan will portray the role more comic accurate.
Jack's interpretation had too much emphasis on the clown and not enough on the insanity, imho.

i wish Alan Grant were writing any Batman title again. his run on Shadow is unmatched, and his early stuff from Detective was great too, as was his later stuff in LOTDK. and if he comes back then there'll at least be a chance of seeing a Cornelius Stirk story again. i think Grant, Denny O'neill, and Chuck Dixon had the best runs with Batman. i wish they would bring any one of them back to write.

Norm is one of my all time favorite Batman artists. I wish they would bring him back to Detective Comics!

I agree, Breyfogle needs to be back doing batman, actually we as fans need him back, and pairing him again with Alan Grant would be a dream. If anybody has doubts jusyt check "The Last Arkham" tpb, definitely one of the greatest Batman stories ever.

Um, don't kill me but I voted no. I just felt their run was a little too cartoony (and I don't mean that in the cool TAS way).
But that's just me.

i just finished Killing Joke, and Grant is awesome. Alan Moore wrote "The Killing Joke", not Alan Grant.
