Batman War Games Act 1

Well war games for many seemed to believe it was a horrible mess but i believe that in collected form it is a great batman book showing the plight gotham city can get into by the mistake of spoiler after she steals batmans plan and it goes wrong leading to a massive battle of all different gangs from every area of gotham, the art is dark and gripping and almost all characters are seen in good legnth from batgirl to nightwing, the only character that feels pushed in this book is Tarantuala as she is very squeesed into a good overall story although it does seem to get away from itself near the end, overall i think this book is outstanding my five stars *****
my only problem is that to understand war games you really have to read the prequel book war drums which is a horrible disjointed read and would most likely put many of reading the main books. and there is another dilema in waiting for acts 2 and 3 of the series to be released as the ending is so gripping you will just want to find out the next turn and twist. this book is great because it really dosnt relie on super villians but just pure brutal war and it makes a refreshing change after such books as the super villian bumper hush as the only main villian is the pengian and he isnt that prminent. anywayz it is a must read just try to survive reading war drums 1st.

good review chief!! you are dead right about war drums I had to make six attempts(seriously) to read that as I could only handle a few pages at a time but I do agree you have to read it.anyway I too enjoyed WG act 1,It does better in TPB than it does in single issue form
