I'm not sure that this hasn't been shown anywhere just yet, but Its the first I'd seen of it. Here is the final newsstand version of Batman and the Monster Men #1, out Wednesday, given to LoG courtesy of Matt Wagner himself. Can't wait to pick this series up!

I'm intrigued by this title. I intend to give it a try this week.

I read it and liked it very much. It's stripped down and fits nicely as a post-Year One story (better in tone than Long Halloween, in my opinion).
In fact, it feels more like the idea of what All-Star was intended to be.

Although I haven't read this one yet I know it'll be great. I've cut back on my monthly haul of comics which means no Minis. But I'll definately be picking up the ineveiatble TPB.

In fact, it feels more like the idea of what All-Star was intended to be. I definitely agree with that. This is an excellent modern retelling of the Dr. Hugo Strange vs. Batman story in Batman #1, with some other references here and there (i.e. Julie Madison, the henchman in the turban from the Dr. Death story) and several new things (i.e. Norman Madison, the addition of Carmine Falcone and Sal Maroni). Can't wait to see how the series pans out!

Anyone notice the similarities between this miniseries and BTAS Mask of the Phantasm?
