Maybe a good solution for All Star since it is dubbed All Star would be to have some of the past Batman Artists and Writers return for a short run on the book here and there, and limit it to a select few, this way here it still has that All Star allure and feel to it, for example bring back Neal Adams or Norm Breyfogle for a run on the book for a few issues or something like that. If Lee and Miller can't get it done right now, we the fans shouldn't suffer I think I get what your saying. Your saying that some of the past great Batman writers and artists team up for one storyline and a new one takes over for another. It'd be like LoTDK, except instead of new artists and writers, it'd be past greats having another shot at Batman.

Apperntly I spoke too soon. I called my comic shop dealer to make sure some issues I reordered came in and I asked about issue 4. He said his invoice said it would come the 17th.

I was really excited about this a year ago when I thought it was gonna be a mini-series. Then it was supposed to go monthly, and now it looks like we'll be lucky to get four issues in a year. I don't even remember what the first 3 issues were about; all I remember is Vicki Vale in her underwear and lots of driving around in the Batmobile. and something about Black Canary that didn't seem to fit into the story at all.
All I'm saying is I don't see any reason that could possibly explain so many delays. Did Frank Miller have a stroke and no one told the media? Seriously, someone should call and check on him...

Jim Lee's been causing the delays because he hasn't finished covers for some of the issues, and he's been busy with other stuff too, like the DCU online game.

Or maybe thats DC propaganda to try and calm the fans anger...

No, its Jim Lee.
DC has to go to Lee and say "Drop one, or some. Or we'll drop you."

DC has to go to Lee and say "Drop one, or some. Or we'll drop you." Except DC wouldn't do that, because Jim Lee's name on something means many, many more people will buy it. I'm sure DC doesn't mind making fans wait 5 months for every issue of a comic if they make more money in the end. Anyway, does anyone have any idea why the DC website claims that #6 will be out in June and #5 in July? Because no one in their right mind would release a later issue before an earlier one, period. Either it's a mistake, or the editors on this comic have proven without a doubt that they're insane.

The August previews aren't up yet, so they're waiting until then to put #6 up. 2. They screwed up and it's supposed to be #5 in June and #6 in July. But I doubt we'll get them anytime soon.

I went back and read the first 3 issues this wkend and you know what? I wasn't that thrilled. #1 was really good but 2 and 3 both seemed kinda weak. 2 had so many pages of nothing but Batman and Dick Grayson (twelve years old) talking in the batmobile. It also annoyed me how they kept saying "twelve years old." after everytime they mentioned Dick Grayson. Twelve years old. It happened 3 times in the span of 2 pages! And issue 3 had one page of Batman and Dick Grayson. Twelve years old. the rest was black canary.
Jim Lee can definitely draw, though. WOWZERS.
and even though I am complaining, I will definitely buy #4. my point, though, is that this is (so far) not Frank Miller's best work, in my opinion. nothing special, really. I hope the story picks up in #4 (and they get out of the Batmobile).
