from what i understand, and please correct me if i'm wrong
i haven't read all of the current issue of batman OYL (post & pre inifnite crisis)
i do have them all in my collection (every 2 weeks or so i buy all of the Batman titles from mycomicshop.com
just haven't gotten into reading them yet, right now i'm working on reading batman novels (currently reading ultimate evil, have a couple more for after it)
anyway as i understand it
poisin ivy is dead?
the ventrilaquist (butchered spelling on that) is dead (although they could conceivably bring scarface back with another owner?)
black mask is dead
joker got shot in the face but somehow lived?
batgirl III (cassy) no longer exists, and she is now a bad guy, an assassin as she was originally brought up to be?
someone knew has taken up the mantle of catwoman (probobly not permanently)
batwoman is back...
jason todd is back...
batman's son...from an elseworld story...has been thrown into the DC continuum?
is there anything i am neglecting to mention?
if so, please let me know
is hush still around?
what are the status' of all of the clayfaces
i remmeber Clayface, Clayface II, III, IV (lady clayface?) and a fifth one who wasnt around too long?
let me know, sorry if i sound like a newb

Maybe I can help you a little bit:
Poison Ivy is alive again (wohooo ;D) but it is yet unsure how she returns
Ventriloquist is dead
Black Mask is dead, killed my Selina
Yeah it looks like Joker will survive this shot
Cassandra will return as Batgirl with the Teen Titans East (but it isn't a hero team since it is build by Deathstroke)
Selinas friend Holly is Catwoman but it looks like Selina will be back as Catwoman
Selina gave birth to her daughter Helena
Batwoman appears in 52
Jason Todd was killing people as "Nightwing"
Batman and Talias son is named Damien
You can also look at Wikipedia, beacuse it has always the newest infos on the charakters!

No Black Mask is still alive. He was recently in that Man-Bat miniseries.

well i'm glad poisin ivy is still alive, she has been a major batman villian for a while, in the top 10 of his rogues gallery (i was very shocked when i heard they had let her die)
i dont know what to think about the ventrilaquist dying, as well as the black mask, these villians have been around for like 25 years
typically none of the major villians die in batman, making this that much more drastic of events
but still...
do you guys think black mask or the vent will come back?
perhaps someone else can take up the mantle of black mask and run his organization?
perhaps someone else can pick up scarface, and take up the mantle of ventrilaquest?
also wanted to add that as i undersatnd it, the spoiler died when she was temporarily filling in as robin? (i do not call this robin IV though, since we are still on robin III)

[glow=red,2,300]She got fired from being robin ,and then with war games straight after, she died as spoiler due to wounds made by Black mask ,she also caused the war games to start.
I think we will see both villians again in the future,No one ever stays dead in comics (Ra's ;)lol[/glow]

which leads to some more question
i read a 9 issue mini series with ras death and maidens
he died in this?
supposedly for good
has he come back since then?
does this take place pre or post hush (cause i know ras was in hush)
?
in this mini series talia took over his empire i think?
jason todd was the red hood blah blah blah, is he currently active, what is his status OYL, did they change his origin...again (they did last time)? is he a villian or a hero currently
also...wtf two face...he got his face repaired and became a vigilante?
jason todd killing people as nightwing to make nightwing look bad?
OYL batman comes back and two face failed to clean up gotham, tears his face apart and becomes bad again?
selina shot black mask in the face. (small explanation?)
batman (but not batman) shot joker in the face. (small explanation?)
what else did OYL change?
i assume batman & original are 100% the same?
any change on allies/villians besides the deaths we covered above?
(i assume we get to see some of these characters die during the series 52? if they died during the year where the heroes were gone?)
which ones died during the missing year?

Okay, I think Death and the Maidens was post-Hush and Talia is leader now(I think). Jason's origin is still the same. Last I heard he gave up being Nightwing and left New York all to Dick. Though I have heard they are planning a Red Hood miniseries. Okay Two-Face. He had his face and personality fixed during Hush. Later on, before OYL, Batman asked him to watch Gotham while he was away, and he trained him. He only went back to Two-Face after he was suspected by Batman of commiting murders of Gotham villains who were shot by a double barreled pistol (but they were commited by the new TallyMan, who was in the pocket of the Great White Shark). That's when his Two-Face side started to reemerge and that's when he scarred his face. Black Mask threatened everyone Selina cares about, so she had no choice. The Batman who shot Joker was actually an ex-cop in a Batman costume. All I know is that Oracle and Batman are working together again. |

anyone remember (not that i was into comics back then) back during the 80's crisis on infinite earths that they re worked jason todd's origin
at first he was a child of circuis acrobats (like grayson) who's parents were killed by KILLER CROC lol
after the crisis, he became a street orphan who stole the wheels off the batmobile!
i often forget this, because it seems like the change was unnecesarry
but oh well

the more i think about it, wouldn't this lead to all sorts of akward situations like batgirl knowing batman and the rest of the family's identities?
perhaps leading to deathstroke knowing who bruce wayne is?
