The All Star Superman fights an All Star Bizarro, and like Superman, Batman gets Confidential (and LotDK doesn't seem to be cancelled). Manhunter returns in her book, another TPB, and appears in Birds of Prey, and the DCU is going to give you a special for Christmas: www.newsarama.com/dcnew/Dec06/solicitations.html

What's going on with BATMAN? Are Morrison and Kubert taking a break or something, or are they gone for good?!

What's going on with BATMAN? Are Morrison and Kubert taking a break or something, or are they gone for good?! They're probably just taking a break like Dini. He's not writing Detective 825, they're taking a break. I'm mad that LODTK isn't getting cancelled, because I don't think they can do two titles for Batman that have the same concept. One has to go, and I'd say out with the old, in with the new.

I am curious to see how Catwoman will shape up. I am struck by how the comic keeps on evolving.

I am looking forward to Ostrander and Mandrake on the fill-in issues for Batman. I am a fan of the Monech-Mandrake isues of the 1980's and Mandrake also was co-creator with Doug Moench of Black Mask.

The ACTION COMICS #844 Variant Edition (AUG068068) is available for order now.
Both versions of this issue have a Final Order Cut-off date of October 5.
NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO TO FEATURE INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN K. VAUGHAN
Brian K. Vaughan will discuss PRIDE OF BAGHDAD, Y: THE LAST MAN and EX MACHINA as part of an interview with Kurt Andersen on the National Public Radio program Studio 360. The interview is tentatively scheduled to run nationwide on October 20.
BILL WILLINGHAM TO ANSWER READERS' "BURNING QUESTIONS" IN FABLES #59
This March, writer Bill Willingham will answer readers' "Burning Questions" about FABLES in issue #59 of the hit Vertigo series. Readers can submit their questions about the series at dccomics.com/sites/fables.
"It's rare that any magazine would ever let the readers call the shots for an issue," says Willingham. "Some have advised us that we're insane for trying this, but they don't know what we know: FABLES readers are the creme de la creme, the elite of all funnybook fans. In short, you're smarter than the average bear. More to the point, you have questions that demand answers, and none of us here in Fabletown are foolhardy enough to risk ignoring your needs." The issue will feature a series of short stories answering a selection of the questions, illustrated by several artists. FABLES #59 will be solicited in the January Previews (Volume XVII #1) to arrive in stores in March.
And don't forget, the original hardcover graphic novel FABLES: 1001 NIGHTS OF SNOWFALL (JUL060245) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on October 18.
VARIANT COVER UPDATE FOR SKYE RUNNER #5
Please note that the SKYE RUNNER #5 Variant Edition (JUL060238) has been cancelled. Also, the Standard Edition of this issue (JUL060237) will feature only one cover by Alé Garza & Richard Friend; the cover by Terry Dodson & Rachel Dodson will not appear.
All orders for these editions will be combined under the new item code JUL068664.
SKYE RUNNER #5 is scheduled to arrive in stores October 18 and has a new order Final Order Cut-off date of September 28. Because of these changes, this issue will be made returnable at a later date.I thought it was pretty obvious All Star #6 wouldn't come out this year.

Thanks for the info, All Star. Now the question is, will #5 even come out this year? And they really ought to take All Star #6 off the October page on the website. They weren't fooling anyone when they first put it there, and they're definitely not fooling anyone now. ;D

They weren't fooling anyone when they first put it there, and they're definitely not fooling anyone now. ;D I hope #5 comes out in November. As for #6, they may be waiting to post it in the January previews. Or February. Or March. Or April. Hell, it may not even be for another year the pace it's going.
