A german site reports that in the rumors section in Electronic Gaming Monthly they say that EA is working on a Batman game for next-gen konsoles (PS3 & XBox360) which isn't based on a movie.
I think this rumors are true, because EA has the license.
Maybe it will be based on the comics, but a "The Batman" game could also be possible.
I was waiting for a game which would force me to buy a PS3 and this is it! ;D

not to mention the rpg with batman in!

not to mention the rpg with batman in!

i hate to be all high and mighty, but i had some inside word that yes, this IS true, and it wont be out until AFTER Batman (begins) 2. Batman 2 will 98% likely to be free roam. ALOT of these batman games release and quality depend on SUPERMAN RETURNS te game, which everyone better buy! because that is a superman free roam and they want that to be a success. its probably the moment im most looking forward to in my life. a great comic styled batman game  |

To anybody that is wondering whether to get a PS3, have you not seen the trailers for MGS4? That is going to be amazing! Granted it will be M rated, MGS games are actually rather tame in comparison to most M games. There will be a ton of great games that aren't M too. Get a PS3.
As far as Batman games, I am not going to hold my breath for a good one. EA is the big bully of game publishers. They care more about a license than about a quality game. Right now, two things are almost always certain in gaming. Comic book games and movie tie-in games both suck. There are exceptions, but the majority of them do. Well, I think I have ranted enough.

However, although I agree with Jake(Dark Knightwing) I think that people should stop judging consoles & games by their graphics. |

But the Incrdible Hulk Ultimate Destruction was somewhat successful & garnered great reviews. Although It was not based on a specific storyline, it was based in the comic universe. As well as X-Men Legends 2: Shadow Of Apocalypse. Both of which where in the top 50 games of '05. |
