ohh I like it! Have you posted that custom before though... perhaps at the old LOG...I'm just saying because I think I've seen it before..meh well. its Great! Yes I have posted it before (in my 'Works in Progress' thread on this board) There are a few changes though such as the inclusion of a bat symbol on her chest and an alternate masked head (still not shown -__- it's just impossible to take a good picture of that thing)

I find if i can't get a good photo of a Model i take it outside and set it against a brick wall or something.Natural light will get you a much better photo.

[shadow=green,left,300]The Hush figure is nice, but it has to be disqualified. The rules of the contest are a character never put to plastic. DCD has a Hush figure.[/shadow]

Your 1st appearance Batman deserves to be mass produced. There's a variant I'd pick up in a second.

Used styrene plastic and compound agents. then just the usual sculpting, shaping, carving, blending, painting. The hardest part was the cape for many reasons (it just did not want to cooperate) It took several attempts w/ dif methods before I got it "acceptable".

Thanks again to peev34 for posting my pics, and thanks to the kind folks who run the Legions of Gotham Forum for hosting all of us Batman fans!
Here are the recipes for my customs in case anyone would like to make these figures.
For all of these customs, I used a Lady Death Moore Action Collectibles Series 1 figure for the base body. I trimmed off all of the excess detailing with an exacto and filed the remaining excess until I got the shape I wanted. Then I sculpted all of the costume detailing with Kneaditite (thanks to Ironcow for the tips on Kneaditite use).
For Batgirl, I stole the DC Direct Silver Age Batgirl's cape and head (I just trimmed off the hair and filed it smooth). The Bat symbol on Batgirl's chest was actually sculpted on, as well as her utility belt, glove outline, and boot tops, though I don't know if they're very visible.
For Robin, all of the costume detail was sculpted using kneaditite with the exception of the cape which I took from a Mattel Robin figure. Her mask was sculpted from Kneaditite, and her hard to see R symbol was also sculpted from Kneaditite. I didnt' add the black symbol around the R because I got a little lazy.
Shiva and Robin both share a Rising Stars Chandra head, and all of Shiva's costume detail was sculpted with Kneaditite.
Thanks again to peev34 and Legions of Gotham, and I hope everyone enjoys the pics!

[shadow=green,left,300]dkd608 - fantastic work! That Spoiler Robin is a big contender to beat in the contest! Remind me next time to make part of the rules that you must send me the winning customs for my collection and as for LoG, its my honor and pleasure to host a site that collects the best batman fans around! I get just as much out of this as all of you do! ;D[/shadow]

I must apologize in advance for anyone offended by the overly large bust size on my female custom figures. It's not my fault, it's Clayburn Moore's, he's the one who sculpted Lady Death that way I will hone up to some of the blame, as I'm too lazy to reduce the bust size of my base figure. Just hope not too many are put off, and I hope most of you like what you see. bathush608 (dkd 608)

Thanks for the compliments faithful butler! I look forward to seeing your Spoiler Robin soon. You shouldn't worry about her bust being oversized, as Damion Scott's art style always accentuates the female form quite far beyond the norm, so you'll still be comic accurate. LOL. Good luck with your custom work, and thanks again!

Faithful Butler, I'm glad to hear that you're nearing completion on your first custom, and I look forward to seeing your work. Congratulations on taking up one of the most fun and rewarding hobbies a figure collector can be involved in. Just make your figures the way you like, how you like 'em, and I'm sure you'll have a great time and you'll do awesome work!
