Honestly, if I had to narrow it down, I get the most fulfillment from my Fast Food and Promo collectibles! I think most won't be on that odd boat with me...but I suspect a few of you, like Blocko, are FF junkies like I am....

Very tough choice. I would have to say the statues and higher end art/collectables. Assuming of course I had the means to obtain whatever I wanted from that area I were "only able to collect". Kniow what I mean? Otherwise I would have to say traditional/retail action figures with direct market figs right on their tails.

[shadow=red,left,300]Hmm, tough choice.
If I had to narrow it down though, it would have to be fast food & promo items. Simply because the thrill of the hunt goes up a notch when it comes to collecting these. Alot of promo items are not easy to obtain, but when you finally add them to your collection... ;D[/shadow]

Well said Bullock.
Speaking of which, I'm looking to add that Wendy's TT in-store display to my collection soon...I'll take a pic of it next time I"m there...its very nice.

Well, as always, it won't let me vote, but...I'd have to say, without a doubt, retail action figures, like Mattel; The Batman, Begins, and DC Superheroes.

retail action figs for me too Hush-JLU,The Batman,DC Superheroes and the various 5 Inch movie lines we will be seeing give off great buzz that DCD will never replicate

I dont often get the chance to add high end stuff to my collection but when i do, they take pride and place.
I love all of my nik naks too so it is a hard choice.

im going to throw a wild card choice in here if i may. if i had to choose one "area" to collect, it would be the retro merchandise. my favorite perioud was the Burton films. so id concentrate on collecting from those 4 years.

Wow, what a hard decision to make. I went for statues and fine collectibles. I enjoy my entire collection, but take particular pride in my framed art and DC Direct statues in my room. One of my favorite statues is the Jim Lee Catwoman one. Very nice.

I would have to say the DC Direct figures are first choice. Retail figures are less expensive, but there's a better chance of picking up the figures than with the Mattel (i.e. Croc/ Freeze/ detailed Batman) versions. Plus with the latest of the DC Direct Artist series, who can want anything more. Now if only they can make them to scale...that would be SCHWEET!

I went with the "odd collectibles" I don't like bobbleheads so much as I do "odd" things. I just picked up a small box of "The Batman" band aids.
I've always liked things like key chains, lunch bags, tooth brushes, etc.

Gotta be the regular retail. Followed by DCD. Minimates. Then the high end stuff. Hotweels.
Are we counting Corgis with the Hotweels stuff?

Well, I'd want figures...so it'd be mass retail. Mainly because I love the Four Horsemen's sculpts. Plus with Mattel there's many lines/options to choose from.
I'm not to happy with DCD, because for the price they need to do a much better job on their Batman figures. Both in sculpt and articulation. I want perfection or real close to it from them and they always seem to fall short on Batman lines.

I love the Action figures best, my kids like them better than the playsets. They do like the vechiles they go into. I do collect Misc items if they are cool. I saw a The Batman toothbrush today! I may go get one..

That's tough. It would be between 'retail' and 'Dc Direct' figures and each month it could go either way, but right now I would have to say DC Direct. But I'll probably say retail when I get Riddler and Catwoman in. LOL!

I had to go with the retail action figures. There really the easiest to locate, and for the most part, have always been pretty good.

I went with retail action figures but if DC Direct were similarly priced it would be a closer call.

The nice thing is they are cheaper than DC Direct. Also, since I am a customizing junkie they are the "canvas for my creation" anyway. I get the figure I want in the end.

My habits have changed in recent times and although i am grateful for all the retail releases which i selectively pursue the DCD and Specialty figs get my vote.More for the fact that these are the figures i like to modify and customise so i'm shopping primarily more for my"tweaks"than just display these days.

I'm going with retail, just because of the accessibility of the lines at the retail level. They are generally easier to find and a lot less costly....as long as distribution is good......

If I could only go with one it would be for Statues and fine collectibles, I rotate figures in and out, but the statues tend to stay put.

Won't let me vote either, from the list I'd say DC direct figs, but what I really do collect are Corgi batmobiles! Well Batmobiles in general, Die-cast and models mainly.

I too can't seem to vote. My choice would be retail figures. I tend to get all the ones I want (DCD and retail), but for some odd reason I can't escape the thrill of walking into wal mart or target, turning the corner and POW there they are. Quite the rush!
