Yes, another new one.
REVIEW: After a good Flash tribute episode, The Legion arc continues in Dead Reckoning. Here we get another DC universe character in his new DCAU appearence: Deadman.
Half of the plot focuses Deadman while the other half focuses on Luthor and Grodd and the Legion. Batman, Wonder Woman, & Superman appear too to support Deadman. It was very funny since Deadman controls people he inherits, after he controls Wonder Woman she says "Next time, ask permission!"
There was only one bad thing about this episode: Grodd's intentions. He wanted to turn every human into apes. While this was funny to see Ape-Batman, Ape-Superman, Ape-Wonder Woman, Ape-Tala, and even Ape-Luthor, what would be the point behind it? I thought Grodd was going to do something that really involved having the Legion around. I was kinda disappointed when it was this.
I did say Luthor was the main one also in this plot. That's why he...well I can't REALLY spoil so I'll say:
Everything is back to normal. Luthor is in charge now.
Another good thing is Deadman controlling Batman scene. Deadman wanted to stop Devil Ray so he got into Batman, grabbed a gun and shot him. Once he realized he was dead, and he got out. Batman saw him dead abnd then saw the gun in his hand. I don't know really know for sure but I doubt Batman and Deadman will see eye-to-eye because of this.
Overall, it was still a nice episode to move the plot further. It was Grodd's intentions that led it go down a little.
RATING: 8/10

Awesome Blinker! I'm freaking anxious to see this Ep as well as the others and I'm totally P.Oed about how this show is being handled I can barely see straight@!
I really do appreciate your reviews and keeping us up to speed, but how about beyond your reviews and or synopsis, we "blackout" or warn of spoilers? until the episodes officially air on US screens at least. Thanks!!

I try not to spoil but I always have that fear that someone would reply and "what do you mean?" "I don't understand this", etc.
If this had spoiler tags, I wouldv'e highlighted whatever for whomever to read at risk.
But that's my reason.

Wow, this sounds like another great episode. I think it is odd that Luthor is in charge now. I hope that he is separated from Brainiac. They need to have his involvement.

Pretty much the best ep of the season and one heck of an ep for the series. Just great looking and cool! Black Mant.. uh Devilray... is a Badazz! Again, much (welcome) fan service and some questionable plot elements etc. but great character development and interaction. great action and style!

This was a very good one. Deadman was really cool. I loved seeing the whole group of the Legion at the end. I didn't care for Grodd's intentions, but it advanced the plot. I was looking more forward to this one than Flash and Substance, yet I liked F & S better. I really wish they would have a more indepth discussion between Batman and Deadman after the death of Devil Ray. Devil Ray was awesome.

I'm really going to miss this show.
Good episode. What really surprised me was the ending with Batman being controlled be Deadman. I really knew how Bats felt after that happened.

Just a freakin awesome ep. The final scene with Lex and Grodd, thats probably now one of atleast the top 10 greatest moments in the DCAU. All the villians just smiling when he took command, it was awesome. Glad to see Deadman. DrGreenEvil

Great episode! Best part was when Deadman took over Superman while he was talking about fries, and when he left his body, Superman was still talking about fries. He then said "Why am I in Africa?" Great line.

I consider this pretty much the best episode of the season... or at least in the top three along with Ancient History. Im sure Alive and Destroyer will probably rank up there too though. This show just shouldnt be put to bed... evolve but not eliminated!

Didn't love this ep.
I was amazed, however, that characters were shot and killed in this ep. That is almost never allowed in all-ages animation.

I thought it was great that they had characters shot and killed. Very cool. It added a lot the episode.

Great episode I loved seeing Deadman and the fight with the Legion and the monks was hardcore in places grodds plan blew but it could hardly be excellent with a Luthor backstabbing in progress so Im good with it.again seeing Devilray was great(doc from 3rd Watch is a great choice for Mr Terrific and him)and I enjoyed seeing Atomic Skull in action too deadmans powers looked great here I thought and the scene with him controllong Bats of all people to shoot Devilray was poignant because he now has to re start his penance-Bummer. I have to ask though is Rampage the yellow muscle woman an actual DC character?

I have to ask though is Rampage the yellow muscle woman an actual DC character? Rampage is an actual DC villain. Personally I dont care for her at all and as with Atomic Skull, I dont care for the over exposure theyve both received on JLU. No problem with their presence, but so many more appealing and classic villains are / were much more worthy IMO. Oh well.
