Great episode. The war reminded me of LOTR Two Towers. Even more ironic was that Demis (I guess that is how you spell it) reminded me a lot of a younger Christopher Lee. So cool. Metallo rules. Supergirl kicked his butt without any powers. Stargirl started a little too annoying, but as the ep. wore on, I liked her. I liked the "Godzilla-esque" turtle that roamed Japan.

I loved seeing Warlord, Metallo and Banshee (at some point they have GOT to pit Banshee against Canery!lol). Very happy with and for Supergirl's new look! (much needed) and she kicked BUT. It was also nice to hear Stargirl but I could ultimately live w/o her and stripe (just me). Her attitude and relationship w/ SG annoyed me at first. I was slightly surprized by the violence... quite a bit more than normal (direct and inderect) not complaining though : ) Sadly though I dont think this was one of the best episodes. The overall writing / story fealt very "sub par" to me. The opening scene w/ the Asian girl nearly ruined it for me lol...just too much IMHO. Maybe I missed it, but I didnt understand the deal with the big Krytonite rock? What did it DO for the people of Scartaris? At any rate, not the worst episode of the series but not one of the best. I dug "Another Shore" more, but I really hope the rest of the season gets better than these two.

I loved Supergirl's new look, I'm a huge fan of Hollow Earth myths, and Metallo is by far my favorite Superman villain, so I can't believe that I hated the episode. I really wish there was more originality to the underground civilization. Cavemen vs. Lizard Men on Dinosaurs just rubs me the wrong way. I haven't been catching the recent JLU episodes, but this one just didn't appeal to me. I agree that the writing is definitely sub par. Quite a few of the episodes have seemed like low grade fan ficton to me.

The fan-candy made the Ep. worthwhile... such as seeing Banshee in action, seeing Metallo again, and just seeing Warlord period was great fun!
