Hiya!
Does anyone know what villains will be on the new Legion of Doom on JLU?
I hope they ease up on that senseless "no batman villains" policy

Is there any chance we may get some more bat-villains that are not being used on "The Batman". As far as I know, they haven't used Mad Hatter and Harley Quinn. I don't know how strict the Bat embargo is. Harley would be very fitting, considering she was created in the DCAU. I wouldn't mind seeing this take place after the Joker's untimely demise from ROTJ. It explains where Batman was when Tim was abducted. It could show a mad Harley in the Legion of Doom. Robin and Joker can't be used physically in the show, but it would fit into a whole new scheme. Batman would kind of go into a "post Jason Todd" state.
P.S. This is my first post. I am extremely happy to discuss my opinions about Batman. Thanks to everyone who set up this forum.

WELCOME IAMTHENIGHTWING! ! ! Glad youre here!
Sadly, the dreaded "Bat-Embargo" is essentially all encompasing. No realistic chance whatsoever of seeing Harley or Mad Hatter and even more unfortunate, no Robin or Nightwing (regardless of Bruce Timm's one time supposed intent and desire to use him on JLU). The "embargo" also extends to the Teen Titans and their one time "alternate future" version of Nightwing was strictly a "one time only" deal.
I fully agree though, plenty of such potentially outstanding stories like youre describing are being lost : (
Also FYI, regarding the "flashback" events of ROTJ (Tim's kidnapping and torture), they have yet to officially take place in current DCAU continuity.
looking forward to more from ya!

FYI, anybody interested in seeing Bat-family characters appear in the DCAU should consider picking up the JLU comic! There you can see such heros as Blue Beetle and ROBIN! Specifically Robin stars in issue #33 and it is awesome. He puts the entire League to shame!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have read about the Bat-Embargo, but I did not think it was this strict. I figured that if Joker was only referenced by dialogue, then that would be OK. And if Robin were never shown as, or referenced as Robin, then that could be a loophole. Oh well. It is still an incredible show. Though, I find it a little ironic that Bruce Timm didn't want to put too many bat-villains in during Justice League. Now that he (and everyone else) wants them, he can't put hardly any in.

Is the embargo just in JLU? Because The Joker & Clayface were in JL & so were Two-Face, Poison Ivy, etc.

Is the embargo just in JLU? Because The Joker & Clayface were in JL & so were Two-Face, Poison Ivy, etc. The "embargo" was essentially a result of deals struck related to Begins and The Batman and the effects were primarily noticeable and felt within JLU (since these "deals" were struck around the same time JL changed names to JLU). However it did also extend to Smallville wherein the long demanded, desired (and promised) guest appearance by Bruce Wayne had to be abandoned. This embargo basically granted The Batman all but total and exclusive "first rights" to all Bat-related characters (seemingly even extending to most all familiar gadgets, vehicles, locations and names as well). This denied the use of those characters to JLU or virtually anyone else for any reason (with the obvious exception of Batman himself on JLU and those related characters etc. appearing in Begins). It appears the Begins deals have also effected The Batman in regards to their inability to use or include a select few certain characters (specifically villains seen in the movie). Similarly, Aquaman has also since fallen victim to the same scenario. this occurred roughly between this and the last season of JLU... hence why Wonder Woman replaced Aquaman in "To Another Shore" and why JLU uses/has "DevilRay" rather than Black Manta.
