That'll teach me to not rely on centaurs anymore. Sure they can predict stuff, but they never got me anything but the knowledge of my own death (it's coming soon, so if I don't post for awhile, it means I'm dead). Leprechauns are the way to go!

Just watch out for which Leprechaun you hook up with. There are good ones, like the one Matt found, and there are bad ones. Avoid this one: And avoid this one:

I don't know which one is worse. Do you have a pic of the one that helped Matt out? I'll keep my eye peeled for a rainbow and a box of Lucky Charms.

You never know...I may decide to give him away in a contest down the road. I put a lot into the fan community, but I get so much from you guys in return!

Hey Matt it is great that you got one and congrats. WHile I do wish I could have one instead of putting it in a contest why don't you send it to Ryan (the 3 year old kid that we sent stuff to) I know he loves Batman and isn't in to JLU you should call his parents tell them you are sending it to them and that it should not be opened.
Or like you said with the contest sell chances through paypal for like $1 a chance or something then donate part of the procedes to Ryan. Or you can buy him more Batman stuff.

I managed to get a hold of Toyfare editor Zack Oat and I asked him about what was his take on this. He told me he got in touch with some Mattel people and it turns out that this is an insider custom figure. They did it just for themselves. It turns out that Mattel can't do a mass market Hal Jordan figure. It has something to do with licensing issues. It just looks like we are out of luck. I'm now over it. Still ticked off, but then it isn't the first time Mattel has done things like these. I don't see how you can be irritated with Mattel...its DC that forbids them from mass releasing a Hal Jordan. You can't blame them for wanting it so bad, that they make it in house anyway! Thats dedication to the line

Hope you consider it because I will buy alot of chances. If buying chances only be open to LOG board members or the public aswell?

If we do it, I would want to make sure that Hal went to a good and proper home...If ANY of you got it, I'd be pleased. We may incorporate this idea with other rare items..perhaps have industry folks donate things to buy raffles for, then draw...that could be fun. Things like signed comics, sketches, toys etc. hmmm.... and Blocko - I don't doubt the $1000 offer..thats about what I thought he'd go for on ebay.

That would of course be awful, but I dont believe there were any misrepresentations or confusion regarding that item. As for the real thing listed now, I'm not all too shocked somebody is able and willing to pay that much. Not that I agree with it, but I'm not shocked. I'm very happy for everyone that was fortunate enough to receive one and would hope it would mean as much and be as cherished by them as it would by someone such as myself. With any luck it will find it's way to grateful and worthy hands? It was an incredible gift and gesture by everyone responsible and it was w/o a doubt very much deserved by at least the majority of recipients! It's to pay respect and tribute, and to honor this INCREDIBLE show and those responsible for making it so special.

It's already $1025!!!! I haven't seen this one on ebay yet and I have been searching since I first heard about the figure. I hope someday I will be able to get my hands on one since I idiolize Bruce Timm. Have the figure with his signature will be like killing two birds with one stone.

I just couldnt justify paying that much for a figure.as much as I want it I dont want it that badly-WOW the bidding is furious-the closing moments on this bad boy should be sweet

I think that's a bit overkill for an action figure, regardless of how impressive it may look.

I collect rare Batman and wrestling items but this auction is just loco. I'd never pay that much for a 1 out of 100 item. 1 of 5 maybe ? God bless the buyer on this one.
I can bet that you'll see some more of these limited Jordans surface on ebay very soon.

For that much money, I could pay a very good customizer to make me a Hal Jordan, a Question, a Captain Atom, and Capt. Marvel for that kind of $$.
This has to be one of the most insane auctions ever. Did we ever learn who the forner owner of this figure was?
