This movie has been around for a little while but is great! It is modeled after Batman: The Animated series. It is a solo (just Batman) and if you haven't seen it already, you need to! It is about This girl (of Batman's ex's) going whacko and trying to kill the people who killed her dad. Soon one gets scared and The Joker gets into it! It's great!

This needs to be in the Timmverse section. The Dc Universe section is specifically for the new DVDs coming Fall 2007 and 2008

Did you know that MOTP was originally conceived as a 3 part episode, but they thought that 3 parters was too risky so they went ahead and made it into a thetrical release. Also, there is a follow up story to MOTP that was presented in comic book form. I believe it was in the Adventures of B&R Annual #1.

All I know is that I watched the DVD again a few days ago and it still holds up as one of the best stories they did for the series.

MOTP is the 3rd Batman movie I saw and I thought it was great. Sure, I didn't get it much as a kid, but now... Too bad it doesn't have a DVD release in Bulgaria. I hope WB decides to give it a 2-Disc DVD threatment.

i would go so far as to argue that Mask of the Phantasm is the greatest film achievement, even beating out Batman Begins. I think it's perfect, and Dini and Timm truly know Batman better than anyone else.

When I first saw it, I didn't like it and just watched some of the beginning but years later I re-watched it and I love it, I'm going to buy the DVD from amazon one of these days.

I was blown away from go with the choral accompaniment to the theme music. My first thought was 'They actually wrote lyrics for this? How ******* great is that!' I found out later that the words were just the creators' names sung backwards, but still...

[shadow=red,left,300]I recently re-watched "Batman: Mask of The Phantasm" and I think it was one of the best Batman movies ever made. Warner bros. should release it as a two-disc digital remastered edition![/shadow]

Now, I wouldn't put it above The Dark Knight, but it is second below The Dark Knight. And it is #1 animated wise! I love the DVD version, with better picture , sound, etc. I grew up around this Batman, and to this day, I'm still in love with it, it never does get tiring, and never will...

Aww, does this mean "Mystery of the Batwoman" isn't the greatest Batman animated movie ever???(lol) MOTP was a good Timmverse film, however, I personally would rate "Batman: Subzero" a bit higher.(More character depth) But honestly, for my money, "Batman Beyond:Retun of the Joker" is the all time best Timmverse movie.( Go with the unrated version tho)

Mystery of the Batwoman? I hated that! Mask of the Phantasm was great, because you always wondered who the Phantasm was and it kept you going. It brought justice to Detective Comics.

ROTJ was really good. In fact, I would probably put it a little above MOTP. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters. The thing that made it great was it answered some of the questions I'd been asking for a long time. "I know what happened to Bruce. What happened to everyone else?" If only they had explained what happened to Nightwing. Oh well...

[shadow=red,left,300]^ Return of the Joker was also really good! In my opion, it comes in second to Mask of the Phantasm, third being Batman vs Dracula. [/shadow]
