Wow! Thanks so much for that link! The new Batman and Luthor from DC Superheroes are my favorites. Too cool! Batman's belt is really big, tho- looks a little weird, especially since the pic of that figure in Lee's Toy Review had a buckle on his belt, while this one's belt has pouches all the way around. The figure still rules, tho!

I just saw a pic of the DCSH Batman at RTM and they have him displayed with his utility belt on bacwards. Still a great looking figure. I just wish they showed more than what we saw in the Lee's magazine. PJ

My wife stayed home, because the ferry and train she takes was still running with major delays. PJ

See, scoops like that are the reason /\/\att has seven stars.
Or maybe because it's his website....
...whatever.

Wow! So many great new figures...so little money.
I love them. Especially the Joker in suit from The Batman (It's about time) and the Justice League stuff. I even like the Alex Ross figures...Solomon Grudy looks great. Anyone notice a Solomon Grundy revival lately? He seems more popular than ever! (Yeah yeah, I get it. Revival...he's a zombie....lol)
Would LOVE a Grundy Justice league figure. (new body size please) and while we're at it, make a Grodd and a Captain Cold. (Saw Flash and Substance this weekend on Justice League Unlimited. Very cool!)

[shadow=red,left,300]Concerning The Batman line, I'm kinda surprised that there are no new villains being shown. It looks as if we'll be getting another Penguin, Joker in a suit (which isn't a bad thing).
If they're going to rehash old figures, at least do the Batbot considering almost nobody found him here in the states. [/shadow]

They also have a bunch of dif JLU stuff too! toyfair06.asmzine.com/mattel/mattel-jlu-press-kit/slides/Superman_Atom_Huntress.sized.htmlGotta wonder (and worry) now WHAT/WHICH we will actually end up seeing?? From these shots, I am super pleased with with RAY! He looks fantastic and so happy he's "fixed" and Orion's Astro Harness looks 10X better than expected and as 1st seen. Same with Rocket Red, he looks much better. I hope this isnt how Shyera will end up? And please Lord tell me these here arent what we will finally see for Kyle and Katma!? Katma's skin tone is a bit more appealing though. As for Huntress, not quite enough "improved" from the first shots? perhaps a little better but not enough. I dig this dif cape in general, but neither it nor the first one (re-painted WW cape) is really accurate? she deffinately needs more detail/accents! Please Please dont make us have to paint the white striping on her cape and costume ourselves!?! And dear heaven are they actually just painting over Martian Manhunter's original sculpt for the Justice Lord version!? It was objectionable but acceptable for the first set but for MM with the chest straps and all its just silly! And that first cape we were shown looked amazing! Some of this stuff could be a real shame. Special plea to Mattel: With all due respect and regardless of anything else mentioned here good or bad... for what I assume should be Obvious reasons (Cough-Hal-Wink) It would be a very bad move to "skimp" on the Kyle Rayner figure! Please take the oportunity to redeem yourselves here and DO NOT SLAP THAT HEAD ON A JOHN STEWART BODY! I'm ok, I can customize and Im not disgruntled or slighted, but MANY are Kyle is their only consolation.

Re: The Huntress figure. I've been comparing the images of the mock-up/prototype to screen grabs of Hunress in both her early and later JLU outfits. I can see now Mattel is going for the first design. Okay, that's fine. But even then, the mock-up is pretty far off. I can see most of differences are cost-cutting ones, but I still think there's room for improvement.
Oh well. At least the head sculpt looks nice. I can use that to make the second version of the outfit. At least we're getting a Huntress. Sort of. Mostly.
And yes, it is confusing that the press release image of Katma Tui is of her in her JL outfit, and Kyle is in an outfit he never appeared in (the STAS version didn't have boots) and using his JLU head. The images from ToyFair directly show them both in their JLU outfits. And Shayera still has boot tops in the press release images, but not the Toy Fair images. (Both still have the sculpted belt.)
I understand the need to cut costs. That gives us more characters. I just don't want to bend the line of accuracy too far.

I imagine we'll see them soon, but its a bummer not seeing them at Toy Fair (and then again, its not over yet, so who knows?).[/shadow]

Not my favorite Toy Fair. I know the snow made it tough for some people to get the items to the show . Hope to see some more Mattel stuff later tonight.

PJ Thanks for the update PJ. I hope they were able to get out. Otherwise, we'll try to figure out how to get the pics out to everyone. I'll chat with Mattel and see whats up. A few thoughts - some of the JLU are obviously VERY rough mock-ups...but oh, dear god have I been waiting for a "timm-verse" Huntress and Zatanna for well over a decade! I'm so excited!

I just hope mattel goes like the same direction of toybiz with dcsh. I have a feeling Robin will just be a rerelease...because I asked the Horsemen a few weeks back if they sculpted a new articulated Robin for the DCSH line...and was told they didn't sculpt a Robin. So I'm guessing Robin will just be a rerelease of the one that Mattel's In house sculpters did for the last line. I hope I'm wrong and either Mattel in house team sculpterd a new one or added some articulation to to the old one, but I have a feeling it'll be a rerelease. PJ

The 4H didn't make it out because of the Snow. I feared as much. I'll speak with Mattel to see if we can still find a way for fans to see this stuff!! btw, thanks to JokerINC for kicking so much butt and being on top of images from TF '06...don't know what we'd do without ya! For those of you that are new, you may not know JokerINC..but back in the day, when I first got "online", his (now defunct) message board was the first Batman board I ever belonged to. He's also a former Hasbro employee. He's old school and is always great to have around..please join me in thankin' him for getting those pics online so soon! The hard work that goes into sites like SHT and LoG is often thankless and a LOT of work, to be sure. Thanks for the kind words You know me, Toy Fair is all about Bat-stuff for me, it's cool to see stuff form other companies like Toy Biz (last year form them) and others but when it comes down it DC Direct and Mattel are the main reason for me. I have a few more pics from the Mattel room of the DCSH 2 ups and others but my lap top power cord was cut when I got home, so it will take a few days until I get my new cord in the mail, so once I can get into the pics again I'll post them up. Man you hit the nail on the head about the work on the sites can be thankless, unlike last year (a whole another story) this year I made sure to stop and talk to as many people form other sites as possible it is silly to not talk to these people, I had a change to talk to the RTM people this year, Rob had some funny Navy jokes and anytime you can talk to someone about how cool Mr.T is that makes you "aces" in my book, a very cool and tall guy . A few people from other sites (that will remain nameless) weren't very friendly or talkative but whatever that's cool. I saw the Action-Figure.com guys again this year, great guys as always, plus it's a good time drinking with them at the Diamond Party. Frank from Eternal Collector.com is the "King of New York" I love this guy we met last year and hit it off big time, we met up this year at all of the big party's LEGO, Daimond and the Art Asylum party will be something I tell my grandkids it was the best time I have had in years. ;D If this year was my last year to go to New York it was a great way to go out.

Barbara's red suit seems kinda pretty. The face looks right too! But the neck does seem a bit long. I like the Joker figure too! It looks right compare to the straightjacket one. That Little Mermaid whatever-it-is in the Disney part of the toy fair looks really cute! I would much love to have that gigantic batman statue but I wouldn't know where to put it in my room.
