Not sure if you guys knew, but in the latest Toyfare, they said that Mattel would start doing what Marvel Legends did and start doing giant build-a-figures. They haven't said what they were planning though.

I wonder who would be first? Darkseid?

[shadow=purple,left,300]It's interesting news, but who would they do? Since they can only make Batman/ Superman characters, the only sort of 'giant' figure I can think of is Darkseid, like G95 said. Time will tell.[/shadow]

What about the Bat-Knight robot from Kingdom Come? [shadow=purple,left,300]They're not allowed to do story-specific figures, either.[/shadow]

What about Imperiex? Does he count as story specific?

What about Charaxes, Clayface II, Blockbuster, Brainiac 13, or Metallo (big form when he gets his B13 upgrades)? For Clayface II Mattel could make a regular sized figure available and then include pieces to make him bigger/alternate hands with the other figures.

I like that idea about Clayface II...
And didn't Toyman have some really big bots? Maybe something with those, too.

Clayface II would be cool. And a Charaxes figure would be the bomb.

I thought the last thing I remembered was Mattel said the concept of BAF in their DCSH was a no? or at least put the idea on indefinite hold? Personally I wouldn't get my hopes up for it.

That's what I heard too, but when I saw the thing from Toyfare I got my hopes up. Didn't Mattel also say they were fading out the comics and they would be including cardboard backdrops instead? Maybe they could do a "build a background" where each figure comes with a cardboard section that could be lined up next to the others to make a large display backdrop. Places such as the batcave, a Gotham city roof top, or a warehouse would be cool. It can only help their sales and please the buyers.

the thing in Toyafre got my hopes up too but then I seen they hadnt a clue what they were talking about when all their choices bat Robot from KC,Atom Smasher,Giganta and Chemo were all off limits for mattel-the licence expansion is so crucial for this line folks.....

Except for Clayface, I certainly can't think of anyone from Batman that could be a giant figure - unless the build-a-figures will just be some of the two-ups we've seen.

I thought Mattel said they were scrapping the build-a-figure concept...maybe I'm mistaken..

I thought Mattel said they were scrapping the build-a-figure concept...maybe I'm mistaken.. Id say they will have to scrap it-DCD has the stranglehgold on the viable characters so its a pointless exercise

I would imagine the robot from the Public enemies series used to destroy the kryptionite meteor/ maybe the Metal men when they join to create a giant robot too.
