Anyone on this thread like Family Guy? If you do, this is the post for you. If you haven't seen it, what have you been doing with your life? I've decided to start an official FAMILY GUY thread. You can discuss past episodes, new episodes, moments, etc. My favorite moment is when Peter, Brian, Chris, and Stewie all drank something that made them all puke. THEY JUST WOULDN'T STOP! My other favorite moments are Peter's fights with his arch enemy: THE CHICKEN!

I LOVE Family Guy!!! I can't even think of a favorite episode because they're all so funny. I also loved Peter vs. the Giant Chicken. The little "remember when you..." flashbacks are the best.

Some of the best writing on TV. The show is a self-aware, satirical dumping ground for pop culture residue; I watch it with my teenage son and we both laugh our butts off, although I do spend some time explaining a lot of the obscure references. I think I love Stewie and Brian the best; haven't we all imagined from time to time what possibly might be going through the minds of dogs and toddlers? Well, I know I have... ;D

I loved every episode of Family Guy until the most recent season. I don't think these new episodes have the same appeal as the older ones. Other than "Kramer Vs. Predator" I haven't found any of the jokes to be as funny.

[shadow=purple,left,300]It's gotten to the point where I can mouth the words to each "Family Guy" episode. I find it to be one of the best shows on television.
On a side note, while I was working at a cub scout camp this month, we had a seventy foot long extention cord run from the medical lodge to the staff camp site so we could watch "Family Guy." Good times.[/shadow]

Ah family guy, what not to love? Stewie and Brian are priceless. I love the series but mainly the old eps. The ep when Death visits is Kick @$$. I love the mix of music from all variety. The inclusion of pop culture with tv shows of days past. Not to gloat but i get most of the refrences of old sitcoms and all that even when most my friends don't even have a clue what they are talking about.
Is it just me or seth mcfarlane seem like a dukes of hazzard fan? They've been mentioned alot.
I'm not into the show as much as i used to be. Many reasons but i just don't find some of the recent eps as good as the old ones. And it doesn't help that an annoying kid from my school mimics his mannerisms and speech after peter. So that really gets old. Imagine a real life peter griffin minus the knowledge of pop culture and music, minus the comedy, minus being fat...and you get a tall, glasses wearing peter wanna be. I prefer the eps that are mainly about brian or stewie.

Your sig is really funny(I hero you). On that same episode:
PETER: I have some bad news. Your wife is a vegetable. You'll have to bath, feed, and take care of her the rest of her life.
GUY: Oh My God!
PETER: HA HA! I'm just kidding, she's dead.
He always has a way with words, doesn't he?

How could this thread go so long without someone mentioning the mayor, ADAM WEST!?!?
But seriously, I do enjoy this show a lot. I'm glad it's back on FOX with new episodes, as I've seen all of the episodes from the first 3 seasons many times.

Another favorite moment:
(Peter runs over the Road Runner) PETER; Oh my god, did I just hit that ostrich? COYOTE: No. Peter: Are you sure? COYOTE: Yeah, he's fine. Keep going.
A classic moment. ;D

I loved every episode of Family Guy until the most recent season. I don't think these new episodes have the same appeal as the older ones. Other than "Kramer Vs. Predator" I haven't found any of the jokes to be as funny. That one was probably my second favorite joke in the whole series, the first being from the Cleveland-Loretta-Quagmire episode when Return of the Jedi's Emperor spoke some of his lines before being bashed off camera; I'm a Palpatine collector, so, it made me laugh histarically...

I love it when they have STAR WARS references on Family Guy. I remember at the credits of one episode, they were giving Peter a medal like they did with Luke and Han from Episode IV. R2-D2, C-3PO, and Chewbacca were all there. ;D I cracked up when Sidious showed up in that episode. Whenever I see that episode, I play a game called "Count The Beds"(whenever Cleveland hit something with a bat at Quagmire's house, a bed came out). Quagmire's a funny guy on the show. On the episode where Lois goes to prison, he's there for a congical visit, and they have a montage. It was funny at the end of all his gigidies he said "Let's have sex!" HI-LARIOUS

I don't know about the rest of you, but, for some reason I like American Dad's main-theme/ opening more than I do the show...It's a catchy tune that can get stuck in my head, but, it's a tune that I don't mind, and actually like hearing...This is just my opinion though...

I just remembered a Batman reference on Family Guy. On the episode where Peter goes to temple with a Jewish guy, a bunch of nuns were monitoring him. And when they were coming out of the church, the Penguin was out there squawking.

That Adam West figure is priceless. Although mine has a stuck elbow joint it still works really well. And got it for 9 bucks along with the Pope at Suncaost. The Pope is another one of those characters you just fall in love with.

I just remembered a Batman reference on Family Guy. On the episode where Peter goes to temple with a Jewish guy, a bunch of nuns were monitoring him. And when they were coming out of the church, the Penguin was out there squawking. I love that episode. I make fun of my mom for squawking like Penguin . I have found him in two other episodes. The one where the Superfriens are playing strip poker with Wonder Woman and the episode where Peter mentions that he lived with Superman. Then it goes to Peter in the fortress of Solitude. Supes is having a meeting with all the big gun heroes. Then Peter asks Superman to stop by the store. They had a lot Wonder Twin references too. Quote Peter: "All right Wonder Woman, Off with the leotard" P.S. Anyone see the big Superfriends/ Real World Robot Chicken episode. I loved how they portrayed Aquaman. And Batman being a heavy drinker ;D.
