I didn't get to see "Epilogue." My lack of cable until a 2 months ago has severly hampered my viewing capabilites. But I did see "Return of the Joker" on video and I LOVED it, so I would definitely like to see Batman Beyond make a come back. And so far I havn't been that impressed w/ "The Batman" (but that may be due to the fact that Bruce Wayne/Batman's chin is pointy. I don't believe in a pointy chinned Batman  ;D ). |

I too missed "Epilogue"  . I also missed "Divided We Fall"  . I was at The National Boy Scout Jamboree. I don't regret going, but man I wish Cartoon Network would do more re-runs. The ones on Sunday aren't enough. |

Another thing I wanted to see in Batman Beyond was a new Catwoman for the new Batman. Maybe something happens with or to Dana to tie her to Selina Kyle?

Another thing I wanted to see in Batman Beyond was a new Catwoman for the new Batman. Maybe something happens with or to Dana to tie her to Selina Kyle? That sounds like a good idea for a episode and storyline if they bring it back. Here's a hero for creativity.  |

No way, i'd much prefer something closer to canon Batman. I hate when other people have donned the mantle of the bat. If you're gonna bring anything back, do it with TNBA with an older tim drake robin and some slightly re-tooled villians (joker to his look in ROTJ)
Never got into the idea of a futuristic Batman. The ROTJ movie wasn't bad tho

This thread has become dorment. We have many new members and we still don't have Batman Beyond back, so lets start up the discussion again. At the moment, there is a majority for bringing it back. Let's make it an even larger majority.

I'd still love to see it come back, but with the Timmverse gone and the DCU Animated films coming, I think there may be no chance for a return. But Epilogue kicked @$$ and I really wanted to see what happened from the end of that.

Well Batman Beyond was never cancelled. After JLU's overwhelming success, they may well bring it back as it does not interfere with the Bat- Embargo (kind of) and the show was a success. I think now is the best time to bring this subject up again.

I think now is the best time to bring this subject up again. I keep forgeting that. Is it still not cancelled? Cause if it aint, us fans should just march in there and write the series ourselves. |

Well its nothing more than semantics. In all honesty the definition of canceled is pretty vague and avoided anymore and the concept of classifying a show as "not canceled" (but over and gone) is insulting. It is what it is and it means the same thing... the show is over and there has been no more.
The primary purpose for denying the "C" word is solely to avoid backlash.
Nobody would LOVE to see BB return (or any Timm-Verse property) more than I. But I just cant bring myself to believe it possible now.

That is lame. We should still keep trying though. Family Guy got brought back because of DVD sales and the ratings on adult swim. We don't have the latter, so lets get those DVD's.

I would agree there. Sales are the only language they understand. Its probably not likely to bring it back, but financial support of those products we prefer may influence some form of resurgence. Or perhaps at least help to ensure we get similar quality or tone. |

yeah the show isn't officially cancelled. it's just on permanent hiatus. kinda sucky. i wanna see 'em do a show after "Epilogue" with Bruce passing away and leaving everything to Terry. it'd be kinda interesting to see how it'd go from there. i'm thinking of writing a fan fic that'd do that.

Last week a good friend of mine came over, he is 24 I am 23. Sick of having watched everything in my DVD collection as far as movies go I popped in Season 1 of BB.
HOW DID WE FORGET HOW AWESOME THIS SHOW WAS!? Not to mention, HOW did we neglect to not catch up on some of the more "ahem" riskier things here?

The show was slick, funny, and addictive. Three seasons was NOT enough!

Batman Beyond was a HUGE success. And has the potential to be once again if brought back.
I even think that if brought back .. it could not only be a success at the animated level, but I could honestly see a big screen movie!

If they ever do he is gonna be big. I keep hearing Dan DiDio tease the fact the fact that they might. Depends on fan demand. If we keep it up, he'll have to do it. They even brought Static into the DCU in the pages of Terror Titans.
