In the seven year gap between Batman & Robin and Batman Begins, many other Batman movies were discussed. Probably the most intriguing of which, was a live-action Batman Beyond movie. Do you guys think that they should make it into a movie? It doesn't matter which continuity it is in, whether it be for '89 Batman, Batman Begins, or if it is its own series. I am not talking about back in the gap time frame. I am wanting to know about now, the present day.

Coruscant from Star Wars is the perfect example of why there should be a Batman Beyond movie. Nuff said.

I saw something about this on Yahoo movies several months ago. There were several casting ideas being thrown around. The one I thought was most interesting was Clint Eastwood as Bruce Wayne. I really like that idea

I voted indifference. Similar to my response regarding a DKR flick... As much as I personally would love to see it, it wouldnt be suitable for non-main / mainstream audience and could have an adverse effect on Batman's film history?
When it comes to feature length live action films, I'm more an "all or nothing" kinda guy. And Hollywood doesnt share that sentiment. I dont have any problem with there being three completely different varying Batman / Batman related cartoons and two or more entirely different Batman film franchises all running concurantly. But outside the greater Fan Community, nobody else feels the same : (

OH HELL YEAH! I would love to see BB made live action! Could you picture the Bat-Suit? But who could play Terry? If Tobey Maguire quits Spider-Man, he could be Batman.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I would support it, but at the same time I'd be very leery of it. It would depend a lot on what WB's goals are with this: Who they would cast, what the plot would be, the director, the writer, the production art, etc. I think if it was done right, though, "Batman Beyond" could be a lot of fun![/shadow]

I see where your coming from J-Man. For BATMAN BEYOND to be a great movie, the WB has to get a good cast, a good director, etc.
Could Nolan take a trip to the future for us?*hinthint

Tobey Mcguire wouldn't be a bad choice. I kind of like Tom Welling (Smallville) as for the story, how about the Blight character? Derek Powers becomes the head of Wayne Enterprises and becomes exposed to that chemical and becomes Blight. I was thinking about Craig T Nelson(Coach, The Devil's advocate, Poltergeist) as Powers and Clint Eastwood as Bruce Wayne

[glow=black,3,300] As with any other Batman movie the "Are they going to do it right?" question is the most important. It's not like they could do a piss poor job and a the movie carry itself. For Batman if it's wrong it REALLY wrong and if it's right it's REALLY right. I agree with the Nolan/trip to the future hint and I would LURVE to see Tom Welling as Terry.
Actually I would love to see Welling as anything .The only problem would be that he's already playing Superman and that would be... weird. But I'm sure we can get over that.[/glow]

Terry McGinnis- Tobey Maguire Bruce Wayne- Chris Christopherson Blight- Clint Eastwood Inque- Angleina Jolie

i think tobey is known to be spidey..they should get someone else to play the part..and clint eastwood looks like more of a aging bruce then the latter.

How about Jake Gilanhall? (I don't think that is how you spell it, but I don't feel like looking it up.) A lot of people confuse him and Tobey anyway.

Jake Gyllenhal... acting wise well duh yes, but you'd have to sell me on his looks though.
What about Kevin Conroy as Batman? I don't think aging him would be too much of a problem...

The only big problem I could think of is villains. While Blight was awesome and some of the others were cool, they don't have nearly the fanbase of regular villains. Some people aren't into futuristic movies either. This would still be great to see though.

I like the idea, but to me I think it would be a bad idea. Everytime I think of Batman Beyond, for some odd reason, I think of B & R. I have no idea why but B&R looked so realistic and I was kind of set back by the futuristic idea. However, if it is dark like the first movie, I would definately consider it. I also want to see less use of too unrealistic futuristic weapons, such as the invisibility cloak, and the shock impulses. My last little tidbit is the mouth. I dont know what kind of mouth piece they are going to use if any. So I was wondering if it would look weird.

I think one of the best aspects of this is the live action combination of Timm and Dini. I wish they could get the film success they deserve. I'm confident they could have done a better job than both Burton and Schumacher.

Batman Beyond+Movie=Holy crap what a great idea!!!! Oh and great cast All Star! But I agree Tobey would not be a good Terry because everybody is so used to him being Spider-Man! Also don't forget about Ace! I would love to see him!!

I rather wish that I could see what this movie would look like. Maybe someday it will happen. Fingers crossed.

that would be really cool especially with a return of the joker type plot, that way there can be flashback scenes!!

I'm new to the boards and love the Batman Beyond Series and would like to offer up my suggestions for a casting call for this if it ever did become a movie:
Batman/Terry : Will Friedle .. he actually voiced Batman in Batman Beyond and he does look like Terry from the series. I think he would be a good fit for the role.
Bruce Wayne: Why not go with Paul Newman. I could see Clint Eastwood because of his tough guy persona and he does have that voice!

I'd like to see it,i mean its a totally differant Batman to the one that people are used to seeing,it should probably just stick to animation though.Works better there.
