[shadow=purple,left,300]Even though we can't get Bane on the show, I'm really happy he's still in the comic. His character is really evolving. Thanks for the info, Matt![/shadow]

According to DC, it says issue 20 will have a Firefly/Mr. Freeze team-up. Thorne/Bane or Freeze/Firefly? Which is it?

According to DC, it says issue 20 will have a Firefly/Mr. Freeze team-up. Thorne/Bane or Freeze/Firefly? Which is it? This is the same DC that has incorrectly solicited at least two or three issues in the past year and didn't even provide a cover images for the solicit for #20. Unless something changes, which I suppose it always could, its as I said. Hence why I said it.

[glow=green,2,300]I have to say DC is quite wrong most of the time, remember what they said about #15 being Riddler luckily Matt told me it was really #17 or I would have been quite dissapointed. I also talked with the Great Chris Jones and he said we did have an upcoming issue on Bane, he also informed me on Firefly and Freeze as well. I believe he did say bane was before them though. The Batman Strikes #20 is a story called TITLE CARD, featuring Rupert Thorne and Bane. The story is by guest writer Jai Nitz, and is pencilled by Christopher Jones (me) and inked by Terry Beatty.
The Mr. Freeze/Firefly story is the next Bill Matheny script, which I *believe* will be in #21.
Sigh. And I'd been looking forward to the solicitation so I could see what the cover was going to look like...

I'll see if I can yank it out of 'em. I have magical nagging powers.

I would assume the cover will be by Dave McCaig, as he's been the regular guy of late.

[glow=green,2,300]MY DREAM HAS COME TRUE!!! The "The Batman" team is making a story that relates to the old "Bane" episode from BTAS. I LOVED the fact that mobster and kingpin RUPERT THORNE hired Bane to take out the Batman, THIS WILL BE REALLY GREAT! You've made my day Matt!! (Quoting Jim Carrey from Batman Forever) "JOYGASM!!!"[/glow]

My point was that from some of the earlier posts it seemed folks were wondering when and where the Firefly/Freeze team up would be. I thought that mentioning the Offical DC site having the cover up would clairify.

As is the case with many Batman Strikes covers, there should be at tiny little disclaimer in the corner that says "This scene does not actually appear in this comic."
There is a boxing theme to the story. Batman and Bane fight. At no point do you see Batman or Bane wearing boxing gloves...
