[shadow=green,left,300]Well DK, I suggest picking up the Batman Strikes chapter books with five stories in each they really come in handy now and then. I love those things, I have my comic book story order them for me now and then, but I think Riddler's issue is quite a story so that is one on my Top five list. Oh yeah about the fan mail, someone had asked a question at the time which when I was reading made me spit my drink out. Dealing with Riddler, "Why does the Riddler look like a girl?" I was surprised Johnny DC gave an answer, " Riddler always likes to keep people guessing at things." I had a laugh out of that answer, but I never expected a question like that to get posted, lol . ;D [/shadow]

Sorry for being late. A MONTH late.
REVIEW: One of the episodes of Season Three had the introduction of one of the lesser known Bat-villians from the comics: Gearhead. At the time of doing the RPM review, I gave it eight out of ten stars. Now, as the episode ages you start to lose interest and your rating goes down. When Gearhead was going to appear in the twenty-second issue of The Batman Strikes, I wanted to see if things were going to happen that were fun, interesting and above all good to have read.
The story: As Cash Tarkerson tries to show off his supposedly driving skills to Barbara Gordon, Gearhead steals all the cars from the Car Show by controlling all of them with his nano-technology. Kidnapping Cash and Barbara in the process. Using the original and new Batmobiles, the chase begins as Batman, Batgirl, Gotham PD with the return of Ellen Yin go to stop Gearhead.
This issue was good. If this issue and many others are connected to the show, then it must've taken place directly after RPM. The old Batmobile from Seasons 1-3.5(first half of the season) appears here and has been fixed up. Again, if this is connected to the show, Batman may have rebuilt the first car to have as the main one and only use the new one in case he needed it. As seen in this issue, the old car is used for the final time and the new car ultimately becomes the main one.
Now there is a drawback/problem in that connecting idea: First off, I was really surprised by the appearance of Ellen Yin. Then again, they get away with stuff here than in the show (until season 4, if hearing it right) so a character that hasn't been seen in awhile can be brought back in the comic. But, Gearhead says that he and Yin fought before "last time around, i left you spinning in your wheels". Now from the episode, when the cops start chasing Gearhead, it cuts to Bruce in the cave. Yin may have been one of those drivers but she normally drives her own car. Plus, if you think about it; if thats true, then where has she been all this time and why disappear? Even if Ming-Na was gone, I don't understand not explain why Yin wasn't in the show. Even this issue doesn't give light to this.
Cash Tarkenson appears here. As a fan favorite for many, I don't care for him as much. I hardly like him, he doesn't do good jokes and comes off as someone that isn't needed. JTV, okay. But more than that, no. The scene at the end with him and Batgirl was good as she put him in his place. At fist I thought he and the mention of him and Batgirl was another continuity problem but I realize he was full of...
Along with Cash (the problem I had) and the continuity concern from Yin, it was Gearhead that I thought should've made more improvement. He came out good, don't get me wrong. But I felt his backstory, or some of it, should've been brought to light. How he got nano-technology in his body? What was he before he was the villain? We don't know any of that. I wish they should've.
Overall, this was a good issue. Art is still good. The problems I had lowered the rating but I'm still giving it a settled rating. And seriously; no more Cash.
RATING: 7.5/10
