I still don't know about the show. My hope is that they're finding their footing, and that with-in 6 or 7 eps, everything will be nailed down.
I liked Gersion's Catwoman.. God what a voice.
My dislikes? Alfred needs to stop trying to be funny.... Or else, Bruce needs to drop him in Gotham Harbor... Just an opinion.
I too liked seeing the interaction of the crime family - I'd love to see a non-villain Ep, that focused on this.
The Batmobile-Batcycle chase was good.
When do we get another new Ep? If I'm not mistaken, isn't Call of the Cobblepot on again next week? What's the next new Ep after that?

Bringing this topic back to a friendly discusion about The "Batman" I cant believe nobody else noticed the utility belt mistake... It was when they showed Bruce getting dressed he was putting on his glove and you saw the utility belt on him...then the next scene they showed him putting on the utility belt.
Again like I mentioned yesterday I really enjoyed this episode. Although riding the Batcycle off the bridge was already done in BTAS. (It was either a Two-Face episode or Manbat one) Though it did look better in this one. Still it was a very enjoyable episode and I say bring on more. PJ

Opinions are like a#$holes, everyone has one,and that's OK.Let's just keep this all impersonal and talk about what we love.It doesn't help anyone by the to-ing and fro-ing that's been going on. Let's keep our heads here people and not buy into this argument.Agreeing or disagreeing is fine,we all do it.If we were all exactly the same in our tastes things would get very boring very quickly! So if you love it,tell us why and if you don't tell us why also, just keep it constructive.remember we are all here for the same thing and personal crticism and name-calling doesn't do anyone any good.
Please remember if anyone has an issue, take it off the boards and use the PM system we have in place to talk it through,or contact a Sentry with your problem. We're here to help you all!

Oh, I don't think I mentioned the ninjas! They were cool, although I would have preferred the big one to have been beaten by Batman, rather than Catwoman. I'm weird about things like that. I also would like to quickly apologize for butting in. It was wrong. I hope I didn't offend, but please forgive me.

Back to our regularly scheduled talkback! Cool. Busy weekend here and taped the show but only saw parts of it so far. What I did see I really liked. Now I'm a detail hardware guy. What I mean by that is I like the detail in all of Batman's gadgets. Like the Joker said, "Where does he get all those wonderful toys!" Um, something like that anyway. Now this new series has really done Batman's gadgets justice, not to mention the cave, computers, bike, boat, and Batmobile. The level of detail that is shown is better than we've ever seen before. I think a huge effort is going into making these things look like they really work and I believe that one of the source materials has gotta be Burton's Batman and Batman Returns. It just has that feel to it.
I agree the writing isn't stellar (yet) but it is entertaining and very much Batman. It's a new series and no doubt will only get better. Hat's off to Matsuda and his team.
Also, I'm glad to have the forum here and to have the opportunity to post. I've been collecting Batman toys and comics for over 30 years and let me tell you, it was real work before the web ;-) Thanks much.

Catwoman looked like a Cat-Motorcycle chick. Hehe Or a skydiver with that mask.

Even though I didn't like the first two eps, and thought the Bane one was a solid "middle of the road" episode, but not fantastic... I thought this one was done VERY well. It was REALLY fun to watch, not a huge departure from canon, and moved great.
If they continue to get better like they have, I might find myself really liking this program.

The design influence in Gotham isn't asian at all. It's clearly designed from 1920's Chicago mixed with Prague. The Byzantine architecture in the skyline also doesn't look very asian. That's my two cents. I agree 10percent....thanks for your input, its great to see more members posting for the 1st time

I really liked this ep! I loved the characterization/voice of Catwoman.
I have to say, my expectations have been pleasantly exceeded by this show so far. While I still don't like some of the new looks (Bane, most notably), on the whole I'm really enjoying the show. I can't wait to see more of the new concepts in action, and I hope they start showing new eps. soon. . . I really want to see Freeze!

Anyone notice (or old enough to remember) that Catwoman's penthouse building was almost identical to the one Bruce/Batman lived in during a long run in the comics in the 70's. Pretty distinctive, with a tree inside of it.

I liked it. I liked the interaction between cats and bats. could have used more motivation / description regarding catwoman but I suppose she is essentially pretty "simple" in who and what she is huh? I liked the simplicity of the storyline in this case. reminded me of something from the superfriends lol. great seeing the batcycle too.. but this could have been a great oportunity to show the "batwave" version batmobile. I hope we actually get to see it on the show one day (not to mention in STORES!). My only real gripe is that "picaso" inspired newscaster! yeesh! lose him or re-do him! ruins the mood for me

LOL @ batlaw!!!
Yeah, that newscaster make even Scarecrow and the Mad Hatter from BTAS both look like they had normally proportioned heads. He makes me laugh every time I see him.

[shadow=purple,left,300]One thing I noticed, and I don't know if this has been touched upon, but I believe Catwoman's goggles are used as glasses. Selina wore glasses during her first out-of-costume appearance, but after that, they were missing. They matched the goggle style, anyway. Maybe I'm hullucinating again...[/shadow]

[glow=red,2,300]Overall, this was a pretty good episodes, need some few improvements, but it's all good. I love Catwoman, and the voice attress. The toung-rolling attitude catches on right away. I'm going to watch the rerun to see if the Bat-belt mistake is really true. IF IT IS, I'LL BE.........(Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep). ;D[/glow]

[shadow=green,left,300]I finally got to see the ep today...and I absolutely loved it. Gina Gershon is right on the money! She's just sexy enuf and just bad enuf to pull of Catwoman/Selina swimmingly. The design for Catwoman is a nice hybrid of the comics and traditional "cat" look. I really like the big ears, and the corney "corner a cat and get scractched" lines didn't bother me one bit. Batman has a long and rich history, and you can't just ignore it pre-1996. Lines like that are abundant not only in comics, tv and film..but in BTAS as well. Its a perfect fit, IMO. The action really stood out in this episode, particularly the sound of the cape. Very impressive. Outstanding quality overall. My only complaint...need more ninjas! 10/10[/shadow]

Before, I had concerned about Catwoman's ears, but now my total confidence is subtending. [/glow]

Awesome episode... The animation was hot, and the Bat-Cat relationship was pretty funny. The chase was kinda good, and I really like the BatCycle.

This episode was finally shown here in Canada on regular cable. I loved it! it was great to see Catwoman be not only a formidable foe, but work so well when teamed with Batman. Can't wait for the next episode
