So far, so good!
Ban is cool too hulk like....
And a TOTAL copy of the Spider-man, the sweap drop=blood drop from SM when it drops on the floor and Osborn's walking away then he hears it and looks back and he is gone, don't say this is homage to SM, because they are owned by different companies
Man that lowered my score

Still trying to get used to Bane's new threads. And not crazy about the writing. Sort of a Spiderman and Aliens feel to it. Now Alfred is the best! They've nailed him! His relationship with Bruce is fantastic, just as it should be.
Not a bad episode, room for improvement. It is early in the series though. Liked the Penguin episode best so far.

This was an excellent episode.
The story line was well thought out. There were some momnets of corney jokes again, but some actuall made me laugh. Alfred having to pick up batman was a fun idea.
The batbot was very cool.
Bane had an excellent interpretation . I have a thoery of his suit being like a spandex type suit that can expand. The lines all over pre-bane was so that when he bulked up, his muscles could be free and not tear the shirt.
But I have one question after watching the opening sequence. Will they change the villains pictured in the next season?
By the way, that song just matches perfectly and is growing on me.

[shadow=red,left,300]Another great episode!
Bane was handled very well. I love this new interpretation of the character. He really stomped a hole in Batman. The best thing about this episode though were the scenes that showed the connection between Bruce and Alfred. I loved the flashback scene as a young Bruce, with tears rolling down his cheeks clutches his mother's pearls, sliding each one down the broken strand. That was very well done.
Now on to the final battle with Bane...well handled, fast paced, a true back and forth matchup. Some may disagree, but I liked the idea of the Bat-bot suit, remember folks, this is Bruce's third year as Batman. He's still learning, and perhaps isn't yet prepared to take on a villain such as Bane without a "little" help. (Now I just want a Batbot toy, that I can stick a Bruce Wayne figure in.) ;D
So far, so good with the newest animated incarnation. Anxiously looking forward to next week, when we meet Catwoman![/shadow]

Awesome, awesome episode. 10 out of 10!
This series is growing better and better with each episode...I cannot wait for the Cat and the Bat and The Big Chill!!!
As for the sweat drop scene, thats been used in so many movies! You could have said Spider-Man copied it from Mission: Impossible, but it doesn't matter, because it's been used so many times.
I LOVED the flashback scene, they have captured Bruce and Alfred's relationship perfectly.
Bane is awesome, the most interesting villain thus far, although I would have liked to see him do more without being all pumped up on Bane juice.
Keep it up The Batman team! You're doing a great job!

Much, much, much better!!! I'm very happy that this episode wasn't as "hip" as the previous two, and Bane was actually very spot on with character portrayal. He may have been just a bit too strong, but still, he's been the closest we've seen as far as accuracy goes (well, at least 'til Catwoman shows up) Some liberties were taken, but nothing that was way off target. I'm not sure that I dig Bruce blasting the "heavy groove" music while working in the cave, since he's usually been into serious concentration while working on anything. I'm also not real fond of him calling things "neat" and "cool" considering that he's always just looked at his weapons and gagets as tools to get the job done, without considering if they were "cool" or not, but those are very minor annoyances, and hopefully we'll see a more serious portrayal of the character as time progresses. It was GREAT to see the flashback sccene and Alfred acting ever so much more like Alfred. In fact I think that the Alfred character so far has been the one that has translated the best in the new series. He's exactly what Alfred should be like. If the show progresses forward like it has in the first 3 episodes, and the WB doesn't get one of their usual wild hairs and lets the show run for a few seasons, then it shouldn't be long before this becomes a solid and respectible portrayal of the character we all know and love instead of another typical "hipped-up" show thats only purpose is to sell toys. Here's hoping that the next episode is just as good as this one, if not better. ~Tim

I liked the development of Alfred & Bruce's relationship.
Was it just me, or did the cop in the flashback sequence remind anyone else of Jim Gordon?
Very cool ep., but I'm more psyched about seeing Catwoman & Mr. Freeze!

i liked this episode best so far. i really liked how Bane "broke" Batman. it made him the powerhouse he is supposed to be. i feel, and i can't believe i'm saying this, that this crew handled Bane in his first appearance better than the TAS crew. Alfred coming to get Bruce after the first battle with Bane was very comic book inspired. i liked it. i also like the similarities between the Batbot and Alex Ross's Kingdom Come Batbot design.

another incredible episode. Traction was the best yet, imo.
The Batman has really captured how important Alfred is to The Batman. the flashback scene with Bruce as a child was incredible. We've already seen Alfred in action alot as an investigator, medic , tutor and father figure. great job, guys!!
i thought The Batman would be real good but thus far i am in awe. this show has been incredible. i have watched these episodes repeatedly and spotted little nuances that really show the creators really care about The Batman. i am enjoying this as much as i ever did the Animated series and in some cases moreso. can't believe i'm saying that. both are awesome. yes, the cop did remind me of Gordon as well. i'm just glad we have a new interpretation of THE best character in the world!
Romano's voice seems to be better with each episode and i also like the characters of Yin and Bennett. the voice acting sounds great to me.
but wow...they have nailed the relationship of Bruce and Alfred and i'm so glad they put such an emphasis on Alfred. one of the things i did not care for at all in BTAS was the involvement of the Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, etc. to me The Batman is a solo hero and needs to be alone. he is vengeance, he is the night...and the other characters made it too lighthearted, imo. Batgirl smiling all the time in TNBA really got on my nerves though episodes like Over the Edge are still classics.
Alfred is so important to the success of The Batman and this series is capturing this fact perfectly!!!
best line to me: when Alfred said, "Being summoned to pick you up has never been a good omen, Master Bruce." then the flashback scene occurred when Alfred picked Bruce up after Martha and Thomas Wayne were murdered.
great piece of writing!
Matsuda rules!

Yeah, I noticed that with the Batbot too...I know a lot of people won't like it, but it's been done in the comics several times, and I don't mind the idea as long as it's not a regularaly used thing. I'd hate to see Bruce too dependant on it, otherwise if it became too important he'd never have any reason to suit up, he'd just use the bot.

I thought so too thatman.
When Batman first met Bane during the armored truck sequence, Batman moved so fast to avoid Banes attack. That was very cool.
But I dont know about a secret tunnel in the garbage bin. I mean what if someone was gonna put some garbage in it and , "O look a secret tunnel, wonder where it goes"
The episode was great though.

Agreed on the tunnle....I'm still not overly happy with the decision to not have a proper Wayne Manor. It seems to loose something with the penthouse being in the midst of the city.

The worst criticism I've heard for this series from the people I know has been its lack of story in comparison to the old Batman. But I think this episode with the flashback scene was a hint of things to ome or at the very least evidence that it has potential to be as great as the old one once characters become more established (i.e. the stage has been set).

The episode was...well, a bit too fast-paced for me but it did have some nice aforementioned elements such as Alfred's characterization and flashbacks. I also thought that might be a young Gordon...hope it's him since I suspect Gordon will be introduced later in the series...perhaps to replace the (corrupt?) head of GCPD. That'd be neat. I agree with some about it being too hip at times (loud music and "cool"/"neat" talk). I'd like to see more detective work from Batman but of course the series is geared towards kids, not us patient watchers. Maybe more in future episodes, I hope. As for Bane himself, I still don't like his new "monster" look. Red-skinned w/ bright yellow lines...he just looks odd. His fight scenes with the Batbot were neat, tho. Cheers, Frosty

[shadow=purple,left,300]This episode was excellent. I really enjoyed how Bane was portrayed, though at first I was upset by the red skin tone. Everything was great. The story worked well, along with the action scenes and voice acting. Every episode is getting better and better, I am so amazed! I give it a 10 out of 10, and I can only hope "Cat and the Bat" is as amazing! [/shadow]

[shadow=red,left,300]\This episode was great. Bane was awesome and the story was well written. The Batbot was ok, too bad it was mostly ineffective. I remember the last few times Batman fought Bane, he just ended up cutting the venom liquid hose with a batarang...I wonder why he didn't do that this time around? Maybe because its their 1st meeting. Overall, this is my fav episode so far. Its getting better and better...leaves JLU in the dust so far...I'm even warming up to the crummy "Jackie Chan" artwork.

[shadow=blue,left,300]WOO HOO!
Another week, another great episode!
Matsuda's interpretation of Bane was everything I was hoping for and much more! A great fit for the new show, this character makes the perfect adversary for Batman!
The writing of the show continues to improve to the levels we expected. While action packed, it still left room for some very powerful emotional moments! The flashback scene was AMAZING! It set the tone for the Bruce/Alfred relationship for the rest of the series, IMO!
Speaking of Alfred, the way he is being portrayed is PERFECT! You can tell he is truly Bruce's father figure and is not afraid to show his displeasure with some of his "Master's" life decisions.
The action was fantastic! These were some of the coolest fight scenes I have ever seen in a cartoon. Fast paced, chaotic, and loud...just as a fight should be!
And the BATBOT....wow!! I loved it all!
Now...let's see Catwoman![/shadow]
