[shadow=purple,left,300]I found the latest episode of "The Batman" to be yet another gem. Hugo Strange's cameo was pretty cool, and the entire plot was perfect. It really showed how tragic Clayface/ Bennett truly is. There was a lot of great character work and tons of action. I give it a 9/10.
Discuss this week's latest ep! [/shadow]

Cool I was waiting for this thread to be started, thanks J-Man! I enjoyed this episode and you really feel for Ethan, I was actually hoping that he would be able to pull himself together and stay clean and never become Clay-Face again, but unfortunately the evil side won, and I don't think we will ever see Ethan again.
I kept thinking of the song The Point of No Return from Phantom of the Opera because that line kept getting repeated throughout the episode, anybody else think that?
Hugo Strange was great, hopefully he will play more of a role as the series goes along.

Not a classic, but a very good episode.
-- The Joker continues to mature as a character. He's really becoming the villain we all know and loathe. Having him refer to his shoes was pretty funny given all the hoohah about it. I also liked his devil-may-care attitude about what he had done to Ethan.
-- The Bennett-Clayface issue has been very well handled, though I thought having Yin toss the pellet in the end was kind of an easy way out.
-- I liked the fact that Ethan was working in a room with all the monitors. Struck me as homage to the famed finale to Feat of Clay in TAS.
-- Speaking of homage, this whole Joker-Clayface bit takes us back to the hokey days of the late '50s and early '60s with The Great Joker-Clayface Feud.
-- Boy, didn't you think the Joker escaped his cell too easily? Nice one, Bats.

You think Bats would have kept an eye on the joker a little bit better than that, oh well this is following his adventures in year three? or year four now?

Ethan is one of the few people Bruce cares about...so when he's faced with trying to help him, he's able to be distracted...just shows his human side a bit. I liked that touch. All in all I was very impressed with this episode.

I loved this episode. For one thing Joker finally got SHOES! I hope that Mattel makes a varint figure of this joker with extendable legs. That was actually pretty cool.
One thing I felt about this episode was the ending. They totally left out Joker, I mean what happened to him? I assumed that Batamn captured him but a nice shot of him in the cell at the end would be nice.

That was a great ep! Bennet was tragic. Joker was so well played this time, his attitude and everything. The brief apperance of hugo strage was a great treat. The end where bennet mentions Yin's new partner was fantastic. A tear formed for bennet and i even started to hate the joker, like i did in batman beyond movie. That's the way joker should be, he should be loved for how he is but truly hated for what he does.

"Meltdown" = tragic comedy= great episode portraying the very reasons why the Bat doesn't need to get personally and emotionally involved with anyone. Dr. Hugo Strange was a creepy as Joker, really wished we still had Mr. Riddler(Frank Gorshin) around to continue the characterization of him. I, personally am glad to see the Joker get some shoes on, though the shoeless aspect did well for his insanity characterization.I love the way the Jokers facial expressions are drawn(i.e. "Detective Bennet?...Your Clayface?"

i always liked bennett and wanted to see clay. this ep broke out of tradition and some serious character development. i really tend to rate episodes by how much progress they make for the show as a whole. origin stories and episodes such as this one are a plus. i despise episodes showcasing villains with little character development like fire and ice. yuk! this ep helped move bennett bats yin and joker along in the series and their relations with eachother. good epp

I love the drama. This is what good stories are all about. Finally, they put some shoes on the Joker. ;D
