Good episode.
Not formulaic. Excellent use of Alfred. Interesting retro plot.
I liked the Spellbinder as a villain. My only quibble was the voice acting. He should have sounded mysterious. Instead, he sounded like a thug.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I enjoyed this episode. The plot was interesting, and I think this series put an interesting twist on an otherwise uninteresting villain. I hope Spellbinder eventually returns.
I give it an 8/10. [/shadow]

I missed the episode this morning , but, I will say this; Alfred is my favorite character from The Batman, so, I know that it was a cool episode...I'll have to see it when it re-airs...

Very good Episode. I loved that they used Alfred in this. He seems to never really get much play. However, this new series, seems to utilize him a lot. I also liked the first episode with the Penguin, that established a long history of enmity between the Pennyworths and the Cobblepots....
Thanks for the heads up and the pic!

It was a fairly good episode. Great action sequences though, it reminded me of Batman Beyond. Thanks for the pic, I've been wanting one to color.

Heh, I finally got the TiVo hooked up, and put it to good use this morning. ;D
The episode itself was very good. There was some excellent character interaction between Alfred and Bruce, a nice plot, great designs for Spellbinder's hallucinations, and I really enjoyed seeing Alfred take the spotlight. I also liked seeing such a different take on Spellbinder, who was used most prominently in Batman Beyond, but initially appeared in the comics, I believe, as a woman.
Alexx Van Dyne did a great job on his first script for this series, and Brandon Vietti, as usual, did an excellent job with the directing.
In all, I give this episode a 4/5.

i found the episode dissapointing at times as i found it quite slow - I however find the use of Alfred and the other Butlers quite a good plot but Spellbinder is not one of my favourite villains! 6/10

Overslept for this episode - it's the first premiere I've missed so far. That time slot is just too cruel for a Saturday morning. Will have to wait for the rerun; until then, I'm enjoying everyone's reviews! ;D

I enjoyed the episode very much and was not dissapointed over all. Alfred was great to see in action and trading blows with bats. The fight between the dragon and the bat was cool.
4/5

I was able to catch both episodes this morning, I gotta admit I was fighting through the spell binder episode because I was really tired. I liked the episode, and like everybody else I thought the use of Alfred was great. It's funny because awhile ago I was talking to Thomas about using Alfred more and he said to stay tuned, and wa-la an episode featuring Alfred. I am with Batdan and felt that Spell Binder's voice should have been a bit more mysterious and not so thug like...
I would rate this episode overall a 7.5-10
Thanks for the coloring page /\/\att! ! ! ! ! !

[glow=purple,2,300][shadow=green,left,300]This was an excellent use of Alfred. I was really impressed when they first showed the connection between the Pennyworths and the Cobblepotts, and if the Spellbinder returns, this could prove to be a rival for Alfred (other then the Penguin)[/shadow][/glow]

Checked the TIVO yesterday. Why did my local WB broadcast "Pets" instead of the new episode? I am vexed.
