Boy how opposites attract. Mr. Freeze was awesome in this episode. Firefly was annoying, but I still liked him. Can we expect to see more of a Batman/ Bruce Wayne/Ellen Yin relationship. The crowd claps in applause at the end and so do I. Good Episode!

A good, fun episode. I wondered just how long Freeze and 'Fly would be able to coexist, and seeing them come apart at the end was pretty cool (pardon the pun)! I too, liked the scene at the end where the police force applauded Batman. The classic Batman silouette from when he was caught in the search light was a nice touch also.
Another thing - is it just me, or is Batman's cold weather costume just awesome or what? I really want a figure like that - I'd repaint the one I have, but my daughter gave it to me for Xmas, so I can't do that... Wasn't there a repaint shown of this figure at Toy Fair? Matt? Any idea when we'll see new figures?

Ugh......I've watched the episode, but I didn't get it on tape. That's sucks. Great actions sequences though.

I liked the episoded, even though it had to many bad puns. the action sequences were awesome, and the batman and robin plot where freeze tries to freeze gotham was ok. overall for me a good episode.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Yet another worthy episode imo. Freeze's plot wasn't incredibly overdone, Firefly and Freeze's interraction was priceless (though I must say that I was waiting for Freeze to snap on him), and it was especially interesting to see the GCPD pay their respects to that sinister vigilante. The action and the animation was perfect. And there were really only a couple of bad puns. Not nearly as many that were in the first Freeze/ Firefly episodes.
I give it a 9/10. Great job! [/shadow]

Hey all! I liked the Bruce and Yin relationship starting to get quite a good chemistry! I liked the look of the snow falling and the end with the applauding and the search light! 8/10 maybe 9 with the relationship blooming!!

I didn't like it that much. For a season that's improving, this would've fit right into Season 1 with all the puns (seriously, except for the radio narration in the beginning, the entire pre-credits teaser was overdone with puns).
I did, however, like the Yin-Bruce interaction a bit.
And the very last scene was pretty cool. I noticed that when the light hits Batman, he kinda covers himself with his cape in pretty much the same pose as Alex Ross's famous image. I like how he was recognized as a hero and how he's basically gone from urban legend to the city's guardian protector.

"Fire & Ice" was a good episode -- I was pleasantly surprised by Mr. Kuhr's first writing effort on this series. The story was solid, and had a few memorable moments, such as the clapping at the end, and the Bruce/Yin exchange. The animation was gorgeous as always. Clancy Brown is great as Mr. Freeze -- especially here, where we see more of his cunning nature, and his puns have been toned down from his first episode. In all, I'd give this episode a 8/10; an above average romp and another great installment of this series.

Uhhh...it was OK. Lots of great action but that has been a strong suit for this series all along. I don't care for this interpretation of Mr. Freeze, and Firefly is visually arresting, but when he speaks I am thoroughly underwhelmed. Of all of the villians the dialogue written for Firefly has to be the worst. Again, not too always compare this show to the previous Dini/Timm episodes, but I miss the tortured, bitter psyche of Garfield Lynns explored in "Torch Song", and, to a greater depth, the recent "Batgirl: Year One" run in the comics. An average ep at best; 6/10.

I thought this was a good, but not great, episode.
Some thoughts:
-- I liked the pairing of Firefly and Mr. Freeze but I really disliked a lot of the corny dialogue. It's really unnecessary.
-- The Bruce-Yin bit was nice. The "confrontation" was a little predictable but I like how she's developing.
-- The ep ranked low on the plausibility meter: Uhh, Gotham has a single heating system. Uhh, what?
-- Best bit was the finale. Yeah, it had the cheesy single-clap device but it was a watershed moment and I like that they're really moving things along on the Batlegend front. The first season seemed so disconnected at times. The second season is more cohesive so far, and it's really playing with the big picture.
-- I can't wait for Rojas to go. (I assume he will though I'm assiduously avoiding spoilers, so please don't tell me.) I'm glad he's lost his officers. Hopefully, his departure will be sped along.

I really enjoyed this ep. I really liked how much every character's personality shown through this time around..Firefly was annoying as all hell, Freeze was a force to reckon with...great characterization.
I do like the little hint at a Yin/Bruce relationship..that would be interesting....
I have to admit that the final scene w/ the GCPD applauding Batman..I got a little misty.
all in all 9/10! Great episode!

Liked the scarcely-used villian teamup plot. Kind of reminds me of Superfriends and '66 Batman. Too bad the ep wasn't a two-parter....you know it'd be cool to see a "To Be Continued" cliffhanger. Let's see more of those villian-teamup eps! Cheers, Frosty

I watched this episode this morning for the first time and I can't believe I missed this one the first time around. What a great episode because Fire Fly is one of my favorite villians in The Batman and I hope that he is going to be featured again in Season 3. He and Mr. Freeze teaming up was great and like Frosty said MORE VILLIAN TEAM UPS! It was great when Freeze and Fire Fly started fighting with one another.
The cold weather costume was pretty cool.
I liked how easily The Chief was distracted when Yin offered him some Cider, treating him like some sort of idiot, it was great.
I would give this a 8.5-9.0 out of 10
