well this episode was indeed amazing, clayface vs. clayface is always something i've dreamed about seeing in action onscreen. i found this clayface annoying, but this added to my enjoyment of the episode. hope this does'nt mean the end of ethan as clayface i hope he becomes a good guy in future episodes, cos i liked how he saved robin and stuff. i liked the inclusion of joker as it helped to show that ethan now no longer wants to kill him, and this shows that ethan is now wanting to be good and is now more dominant than clayface in his mind. Season 4 is just keeps getting more Awesome, 10/10

Great Episode! I always enjoy seeing Batman & Robin as just Bruce and Dick, just something about it. I think what made this such a great episode was there was NO BATGIRL, It would be great if they slowly fazed her out of the show and just concentrated on Batman & Robin. I was a bit bummed out that there was no Alfred or Commisioner Gordon, although that one old guy walking into the diner sort of looked like Gordon.
The Clark Kent cameo was great.
And Thank You Mr Matsuda for another well rounded awesome episdoe!

Well if they are ending the season with the Martian Manhunter inviting Batman to join the JLA, could The Batman end and the JLA start?

They arent inviting him to join, from the information ive read the heroes will be ready to join the JLA. I'm not sure if the JLA will even be mentioned or have been founded.

At this point, we only know Martian Manhunter as the only JL member to come into the TB series, we've heard Flash rumors however.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I saw this one, once again, thanks to YouTube. I was very pleased with the final product. At first, I was a bit taken aback by Basil Karlo. He came off as overly annoying. However, after he became Clayface, I was completely impressed. The animation in this episode was amazing- Karlo's Clayface was fantastic, very similar to that of B:TAS. Ethan's struggle to prove himself a hero was well-done, and Bruce's inner struggle to trust Ethan was also excellent. The diner nod was a treat, though it's been a very long time since I've seen "Superman II." Other than some of the more "comical" flaws, this was a great episode!
8/10 [/shadow]

I dunno, maybe after the first couple eps I expected more? But for whatever reason I just wasnt blown away with this one. I didnt care for the Karlo character in either form personally, and I found most the story to be kinda weak.

Watch this episode several times and I assure you Basil's first bad interpretation wears off while the action remains cool.

Interesting episode! I definitely thought Basil was irritating, and I wished Batman had kicked his behind to kingdom come! I did notice how the ending was left a little open, though ...

Hey all -
I'm late getting into the season, but what a treat it has been so far. Maybe some of you early-bird regulars will read my comments and have some additional thoughts. Always enjoy input from the members of LoG.
Honestly, I was a little concerned about Robin jumping on to the scene because Batgirl took a long time to flush out last season. Count me as one of the (Barbara G.) Batgirl fans. After getting a chance to see the trio together in episode 2, things seem to be moving really well.
It looks like I am in the minority as far as the intro is concerned. I loved the Edge-opening, but the new music for S3+ has me hooked. It's a derivation of the original 60s Batman theme & contains a new flavor of swingin' sixties style with a good dose of modernization. Nice to see it continue into season 4. Top notch.
Clayface - Loved the return of Ethan. I'm a big fan of Bennett and Yin. I think they both add a new dimension to the world of The Batman. It's one of my favorite things of the new show - the fact that Batman has been done so many times in many different forms yet this show manages to continually make the heroes, villains, world and stories of The Batman feel brand new.
Ethan Bennett's development seemed a little too "slammed door" to me up until this point. I hadn't read the synop before viewing this episode, and I was concerned that he was almost just a cameo at the beginning of the show in order to hand over the character of Clayface to "Clayface II." This was not the case, and Ethan played a pivotal role in the story. I only hope this isn't the last episode with him & that we also get a chance to see Yin again some day (with lines).
What more can I say? The bar continues to be raised for the quality of characters, writing, acting, animation and therefore - episodes for this series. I only hope that the series will continue and will provide the high quality entertainment that it has thus far.
