what toy line do you wish you could pick up at retail?
For me, it would be to get the whole 89/92 Kenner Dark Knight and Returns stuff. Im still missing some of the items, but they are soo high now in the aftermarket.
What line would you time travel for?

Tough. I would say I guess Super Powers and original Corgis (and some megos while I was in the neighborhood). But I would love to go back to a specific time and place I dont recall and identify and get some batman figures I only know from memory. Similar to SP but not. Approx. the late 70's.

Awesome topic. I wish I could travel back and collect all the Megos and extras for value including the RM Batman and RM Robin, the entire Comic Action and Pocket Hero lines as well as the 12 in Megos. Two of each, one to keep MOC and the other loose, mint and complete. And of course the entire Super Powers collection. I would also want to buy the AHI parachutist figures of Batman, the rare Robin, Joker, and Penguin since I never found the latter three in stores. I would also get the Superman, SpiderMan, Hulk, and Captain America parachutist figures pluis extras of these characters for customizing other parachutist figures like Aquaman, Shazam, Daredevil, and the Flash and the list goes on. Cheers.

Legends of Batman line, though Dark Knight/Returns would be a close second

This is a little off topic, I hope it's OK. I used to have almost the entire Masters of the universe collection, all the vehicles and Castle Grayskull. I just needed Snake mountain and a few figures. When I got older I gave them to a little kid who's father used to work for my dad. I wish I had gotten the rest of the figures and kept them!

Id go back in time and get the Bob the Goon figure. Id get the horse from the Legends of Batman line. A batman motorcycle where the figure actually wasnt molded on. Id go back in time and PREVENT myself from getting most of the DCD stuff I have. I would have also kept all my power ranger toys.

I think picking up the Super Powers line is any true fans first pick. I would have loved to have that goofy superman flying thing with the fists, or have at least 2 Hall of Justice's. (I had one growing up but sold it in a garage sale for comic book cards...yeah burn.) Id keep a set boxed and the other open for me to gaze at in my time off.
HURRY invent a time machine already!!!

Well, If I could go back I would go back to the point where I gave all my Mego/LJN figures, (Super Heroes, Comic Action Heroes, Star Trek, PotA, SWAT, Rookies, Emergancy, Starsky & Hutch, Universal Monsters, Robin Hood, Legends of the West) 12" GI Joes & LJN WWF wrestlers to my cousins. I mean I gave them everything... figures, playsets, accessories, vehicles. I just kept a few of the Mego figures - Batman (removable cowl & regular), Robin (regular), Superman, Green Arrow & Aquaman the rest they got. And I had every one of them. (Minus the girl characters) PJ

I became a born again Batman collector at the start of 2006 (I turned 40 in July). I've accumulated a lot of current stuff over the past year and stuff from the last couple of years from discount stores. If I could go back and re-collect, I'd have the Mego dolls and accessories and the early Corgi vehicles that I had in my youth. What's cool is the stuff I run across on sites like this that I'd forgotten about. Mego Batcopter and Batcave (w/ working Bat-Signal), etc. These were pretty cheesy compared to what we have today, but from a sentimental value, they're priceless.

I'd go back further and grab up the Ideal Batman Utility Belt and cowl, JL playsets, and Captain Action Batman and Robin!...Plus lots of different Batmobiles! (Switch-n-Go, Corgi, etc.)
