[glow=red,2,300]WOw that is amazing awhat is the classic batmna? Is it blue or someting? [/glow]
If it is blue & grey, I'll be really suprised, since the blue & grey Batman was cancelled.
The one I saw had a standard Joker and black & grey Batman.
[glow=red,2,300]Yeh I think it was black and grey one!You can see a cape! But wow it would be a great exclusove to have a70's lookin batman!( blue with yellow oval symbol) that would go for a lot! [/glow]

I found it to be a pit pricey as well.
There are a ton of them showing up on ebay with buy it nows over $100
Does LEGO realize that all they've done is create great scalper-fodder. I bet maybe 1/10 of those that bought the set at comic con actually wanted it for themselves!
There are better ways to get net items like this to the fans
That's part of the discussion we had back in December about this exclusive Matt.
I think, from LEGO's perspective, this is one of the first true "exclusives" as we know them that they've done - yes, there have been a few sets, but beyond the Toy Fair invite, I don't think there's anything else out there like this one, so they didn't want to get stuck with a bunch of product to sell on clearance at LEGO stores.
They're also ONLY doing this at SDCC - not in Chicago, so it's an even smaller run.
I told them they could probably sell close to 1000 between SDCC, Chicago and online - LOG, LEGO Shop @ Home, etc. (I specifically mentioned those three outlets to make sure as many fans had access as possible) because of the cross over appeal - Batman, minifig and LEGO fans - all competing for the same exclusive. Unfortunately, it looks like my suggestions on this one fell on deaf ears. From a financial standpoint, they played it safe, which I can understand. From a fan standpoint, it sucks.
I've got a couple of feelers out there to pick one or two up at cost, but there's no guarantee unfortunately. If I get one, great. If not, I'll live. ;D
I would be just happy if the LEGO guys said soemthing about the Batman line. I would at least want to know if they plan on releasing more products this year, maybe for the holidays.
But I do agree that this is really LEGO's first time at the dance. They probably should have made more and maybe a nice variant, like the Blue Batman minfig to go along with the Joker. Hopefully, LEGO will do a better job next year.

manstink: hey has their ever been a like origin story on martha wayne. I think it would be cool if she were like in some kind of cult, and she was like ritualistically murdered for trying to leave the cult. Anyways thats my opinion.
