Hey so i've finally started work on my next lego batman film, a proper full length one as the teaser i did seemed to go down well. Anyway heres the synopsis:
"While stopping another escape from arkham by the joker, batman comes to blows with jokers new gadget which has the abiltiy to melt a persons molecules almost instantly. This new weapon collides with one of batmans electro batarangs, causing a chemical reaction which falls on new arkham guard Kane Mignola, causing him to mutate. Now blaming batman and the rest of the asylem, kane now under the guise of Clayface seeks revenge. Can batman stop this new foe before he ends the threat of some of his enemies completely? "
The synopsis may change a little as i progress with the script but i want to try and keep to it as much as possible. I've created a new type of clayface with slightely different powers than the others and the name 'Kane Mignola' is a referance to Bob Kane and Mike Mignola. Hopefully it should be done in August.

Ok so to update i've not long finished the script, it would of been sooner but i've been working on others, anyway as i invisioned the synopsis has changed a little so here is the actual synopnis for the film:
"While stopping another escape from arkham by the joker, batman comes to blows with jokers new gadget, which has the abiltiy to melt a persons molecules almost instantly. This new weapon collides with one of batmans electro batarangs, causing a chemical reaction which falls on new arkham guard Kane Mignola, causing him to mutate. Now blaming batman and the joker for making him a monster kane trys to come to terms with his new look while encountering other bat rogues, while batman trys to find out what he can about a specific ingredient found within jokers weapon that goes buy the name of renulasm, and try to prevent kane from living a life of crime, before he completely transforms into one of the dark knights most powerful enemies"
i'm starting prop making tommorrow, such as streets, sewers and editions to Arkham. I still need to sort voices actors out yet, but if all goes well then it should be done within the next few weeks.

And how did you do that batarang effect? well i do my editing on my mac mini, which i do basically everything on, anyway i use imovie and somewhere in the given sounds i think in 'skywalker sounds' theres a long water effect which i trimmed down. the shoot sound i used a song clip from a game i've got. if you look closely when batman throws the batarang you can see some white tack holding it in position. that films now up to 100 views making it my most seen film ever, anyway as for the current one all the sets are done, the script is done, well i'm ready to start shooting, but i've got another film to do before the end of august so i've been consentrating more on that. as soon as thats done i'll start work on Batman: The Block Knight Returns - {working title) |

Sorry for no update for a while. Anyway the film has begun production, but i need to find a mains adapter for my camera before i can do more, as the camera's eating up batteries really quickly. Glad you enjoyed the trailer, i'm quite proud of the joker laugh as i didn't know if i could pull it off, but it seems to work, batmans voice however will be changed.

I only want to help! yeh i agree that the voices i was in a rush to do them for a halloweenish release, if i do another, which seems likely i will spend more time sorting out each scene. i may eventually try to make a lego version of clayface, i've seen a few on the net that look pretty awesome. Another thing that i did'nt like was the light at the end of the batman clayface fight, for some reason the lighting went wrong and the photos i used in the film were the best ones that i had done. i threw in a few cameos/ references to other bat characters and other things. a lego boba fett and venom can be seen at the beginning. The 'Grace' character that is mentioned by kane/clayface is supposedly 'Grace Balin' or Orca as she is later known. Another is 'Lynns' street a referance to firefly. also in the last threw shots of arkham you can see bane standing on one of the balconies. I also make a brief appearance on Penguins walls, above the bookcase there is a picture on the wall of 'The Hero' (who i play) from Defecation of Evil (which also went online yesterday) and above the desk in the corner of the room there is a picture of Dradon, another star of DoE. As with all the films i do there are often references that i don't even notice, until i watch them again so if anyone see's any other batman references within the film feel free to let me know. |

Well its Been a while since an update for my next Lego batman film so heres a bit of info:
*Instead of being one film it will be a series of about 13 shorter films, like a tv series and as such will be released online with a new episode every week.
*All the 'episodes' will be part on an ongoing storyline.
*Pretty much all the batman Lego figures will appear with various villains getting an episode to themselves fighting batman or one of his allies.
*Bane will appear as a main villain (as referenced in Batman Metamorph)
*A Justice Leaguer will appear for a few episodes
*The story will take some inspiration from Knightfall, Hush, The Death of Superman and some ideas of my own.
*Clayface will be back and badder than ever
*I am aiming for late 2008/ early 2009 release but this is not 100% confirmed yet
I'll add some more info within the next few weeks, This project looks to be my biggest and most awesome yet,

a friend of mine will be suppling the music for the series, i don't really like to use other peoples music like danny elfman or hans zimmers due to trademark issues.

i used a video fx edit on imovie, called fog, then changed the colour to a dark greeny colour, i'm goin to use a lighter green for the jokers laughing gas, glad you enjoyed it.

Hi everyone just a note to say Batman Blockade is still going ahead, things have just been going really slow, i've got all 14 synopsis' wrote for the episodes, next i'm going on to customs figures and more sets, then on to scripting, then filming, the editing and voicing then finally the distribution, hopefully it'll be up on the net next year.
