I personally have been waiting for TDK to hit the dollar movie theater. I think once that happens, it will make quite a bit more before the end of its run.

#2 all time domestic... and already at #5 worldwide... i've been reviewing boxofficemojo's numbers for the batman films. and the domestic gross is always higher than the worldwide's for batman... unlike LOTR or the spiderman movies.. yikes... i still hope that we make it to a billion worldwide...

All I know is the following:
1. Finally a movie live up and not down to the hype!
2. This is THE movie all other Superhero films will be judged. As it is the "Godfather" of Superhero films.
3. No one can play the Joker again. Ledger put the bar waaaaayyyyyy to high!
4. Th next Batman film can not be as good as this. Maybe as good as "Batman begins."

I wonder what the total earnings of this movie would be if you were to factor all the sales of tie-in products. Toys, T-shirts etc. It would have to put Titanic to shame. I know I spent at least $100 more on stuff than I did actual tickets. Make that $125 with the DVD!
