I think it is just a one night thing again like last time. I think the wrestling websites and boards would be way more lit up if it was a permanent thing.

okay, as it stands now after the official announcement, it looks like we'll be getting a live TNA on mondays every other week and a taped TNA on the other mondays. they're planning a live show on monday and then taping the next week's the next night and then in 2 weeks a live show, and then a taping. but the move to Mondays is supposedly permanent.
but then TNA is planning on a stupid move as they are nearing a deal with Honky Tonk Man (why?).
and lastly, Dixie Carter announced that Rob Terry defeated Eric Young for the Global Championship. apparently this did occur and it was at a house show, but since when does Dixie Carter make any announcements regarding booking? things are getting alittle wacky over at TNA right now. at least Terry finally got a title. he can barely wrestle, but there's just something about him. a super jakked British powerhouse thats entertaining. WWE had that with Hade Vansen (and Vansen can actually wrestle real good) but dropped the ball. this is what happens when 3 different people run a company and all try to take it in a different direction. Dixie, Jarrett, & Bischoff all need to get on the same page and very quickly if they are to have any chance against WWE on Mondays.

This is completely random, but I was watching old wrestling footage on Youtube again(It's freakin amazing the stuff you find on youtube, BTW), and I found old footage of Bobby Heenan in Georgia Championship Wrestling! I had no idea he was ever there! I was also watching footage of Terry Taylor as the Red Rooster. Some people posted that Taylor was actually supposed to be "Mr Perfect". I was just wondering if any old school wrestling fans like me have heard that before and know if it's true or not...

Rey Mysterio is set to undergo reconstructive knee surgery in April after Wrestlemania. that could give us an idea of how the mask match he's set to be in at mania will go.

It's been officially announced ECW will end February 23. May it rest in peace. I just found it's being replaced by a show they're calling "NXT", as in "Next Generation". I like the name and I like the idea. I wonder what that does to the ECW title? They should just scrap it totally...IMO

Just don't make it the NXT Title. No, just have two guys wrestle to determine the last ECW champion, and than retire the belt. I don't know who, since there are no originals left, whoever they think the top two guys on the brand are right now. Maybe Christian and Benjamin?

supposedly, its not going to be a new brand. its basically just going to be an FCW show. it also means we are going to see some releases soon. Christian, Regal, Ryder, & Yoshi Tatsu will definitely go to either Raw or Smackdown. everyone else is kind of up in the air though. it all depends if they want the show to showcase young guys or not established guys. Trent Barreta will stay definitely as he's a young unestablished guy, but everyone else on the roster currently is over 30 aside from Chris Cage who will also be staying. Lance Hoyt might get a shot at a regular roster, same with Ezekiel Jackson. Kozlov is up in the air as he blew his push and they have really buried him. he might get released. Benjamin might get canned too. Helms is basically finished after his last arrest anyway, so he's probaly done. Goldust will have a shot at a main roster. they might keep Tyler Reks on the show too. it'll be interesting to see where this goes and who gets released.

If it were me, I would put Yoshi and Ryder on SD and Regal and Christian on Raw. I know it won't happen, but I would have Dustin Rhodes drop the Goldust gimmick, put him on Raw and team him with Cody as the Rhodes brothers. Like I said, I kow it won't happen because they don't care about tagteams, I'm just fantasy booking

^ that or have the Rhodes' feud with each other. but they wont do that either because it would make Cody look bad and he's the "future". i would like to see Ryder on SD too. he could have a nice little feud with John Morrison. i think that would be good. they could put Yoshi anywhere, i love his entrance music. he might have the best entrance song in all of wrestling. i hope they dont release Ezekiel Jackson. i really want them to put him on Smackdown and have a match with Batista. i am very curious to see what they do with Christian and where they put him.

it would seem that the concept of NXT has changed yet again. apparently WWE changed their mind again about going with another show as they didnt feel that a name change with the same wrestlers and some newer unknowns would do any better in ratings than ECW currently does. so what they have apparently decided to do is take another foray into reality tv. its supposedly going to be some sort of reality show, but with wrestlers new to tv and guys from FCW so the fans can "get to know them". and now there are 3 days of the week with no new wrestling on. maybe TNA will air their Epics show on Tuesdays now and make it weekly, or make a new show. i cant see this WWE reality show taking off.

New Details On The Rock’s WWE Return This Summer
Posted on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 12:38 pm
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is indeed returning to WWE soon.
In a radio interview with Boston’s Mix 104 this week, Johnson shed some new light on his return, which is expected to take place this summer.
When asked if he plans on wrestling a match in WWE this summer, The Rock said:
“How I would come back is a different capacity than what Hulk Hogan did or I believe Ric Flair is doing. Those guys are coming back to actually wrestle. I don’t want to wrestle; I have no intention of wrestling a match.”
.. at least that’s what he’s saying. So if he’s not wrestling, what’s the plan?
The Rock plans on having a major impact on WWE programming and could serve as a semi-permanent RAW Guest host for the entire summer:
“I do have intention of going back and hosting the show. Hosting a show like that would give me the opportunity to get on the microphone, rip open the writing, and invite guests on to come host with me. We wanted to create something cool and big and fun for the audience.”
The Rock’s WWE return appears to be this summer’s big angle. Two years ago, WWE went with “Million Dollar Mania” to spice things up. Last year, Donald Trump “bought” Raw and kicked off the weekly Guest Host storyline. While The Rock claims that he currently has no plan to get back in the ring when he returns to WWE in a few months, his presence alone on WWE television should be enough to heat things up this summer headed into SummerSlam.

WWE has decided to end the Survivor Series event and replace it with a new gimmick event. I can't believe they're ending their 2nd longest running PPV event. WTH is Vince thinking?

^ its not what it once was. it was started as an answer to Fall Brawl, and once they stopped all the elimination matches the name doesnt really fit anymore anyway.

It still did the elimination tag matches. What about the history though? This was one of WWE's big four PPVs along with SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania. Whatever they get to replace it, it won't be as big.

Sorry dude, looks like it will be like Tough Enough. why, why, why? through the 4 or 5 seasons of the original Tough Enough they got 1 superstar, John Morrison. thats it. of all the contestants and wrestlers on that show, only one made it. there's a strong possibility that they wont get anyone out of this one. thanks for the info, saves me an hour as i now dont have to watch the first episode.

i figured i'd post this as we may have just seen Jeff Hardy's last match. his trial is set to begin on Wednesday. here are the charges he faces:
- felony possesion of cocaine - felony trafficking of opium - 2 counts of felony possession with intent to distribute a schedule III drug (steroids & pain killers) - maintaining a dwelling for drug use &/or distribution - possession of drug paraphernalia - conspiracy to traffic opium
its not looking too good for him. especially if there are witnesses that testify that they bought drugs off Hardy or from his house. we'll have to wait and see happens.
